1st DVC Trip to BCV!

Cast: me(35), DSis (31, 6 months preg), DD 7, DS 4 (His 1st trip to Disney)
Studio #422 BCV 2/26-3/3

This was an amazing trip for my 1st DVC trip! Our room was very clean and everything seemed welcoming throughout the resort. Here are some highlights:

1. Watched illuminations from the balcony and heard the British Invasion playing in the evening (a pleasant surprise!)

2. Stormalong Bay-I haven't seen this mentioned as much but the area with sand by the Yacht Club is a large shallow area w/sand dunes that was perfect for my 4yr old. The life vests are free to use and he had a blast here!

3. We now have 6 sandbuckets from all the pail meals at Hurricane Hannas

4. My kids don't eat at character b'fasts (note to self) but Cape May had good char. interaction.

5. Gelato and Beaches & Cream-YUMMY!

6. WALKING to a park! (Epcot)

7. The pool games were great for my DD-hula hooping and games

8. The kids did the GF Pirate Cruise & loved it! I recommend this-the kids got Mickey bandana hats, lunch, a 2 hour boat tour/treasure hunt, and loot

9. The reality that hit me at BCV that I am actually a DVC owner now! (priceless)

10. The joy to know that we are going back in August!

Thanks for sharing and bringing a smile to my face remembering all our wonderful trips to BCV. We won't be staying again at BCV until October but will be at BWV in May before our Magic cruise!

I'm so glad you had such a wonderful trip!!!

My dd won't eat at character meals, either!! It makes me crazy....but, she begs to go to them each trip so "sucker" mom and "sucker" dad keep booking them!!! I think we are doing THREE this trip (we leave at the end of the month)....one of these days, maybe I will actually learn!!

I'm so glad your kids got to the Pirate cruise....all reports say they are a blast!! Did you know that the YC/BC has their own "Albatross" Pirate Cruise? It's very convenient for parents who are staying at the BC.

Thanks for the replies I did check into the Albatross cruise but it was full (of course it was a month out when I called). Now we have a reason to try that one in August

I also forgot to mention that we had 2 "Magical Moments" certificates waiting for us at check-in (a certificate w/Mickey & Friends celebrating our 1st trip home) One was for me and one for DD. Then I had a welcome home message from my guide on the voicemail. These little things are really big things to us and I am so glad that we purchased DVC.

I left some gelato but do plan on working through the different flavors next trip!LOL Beaches and Cream supplied my pregnant sister with 4 waffle cone ice creams for the trip too (for her ice cream fix!)

I did catch a strange thing there though- I think it's referred to addonitis on the boards! I am plotting my add on as I type......
