Hello,
I am going to Disneyland for the first time in August. I was just wondering what everyone's best tip, secret or "stop & smell the roses" moment or spot for Disneyland was.

Thank You,
Ben

I'm no help since we are going for the first time in June but wanted to say welcome to the board.

Best tip is to read Hydroguy's Tips sticky at the top of this board.

I guess my best tip is to go slowly and notice the details. The amount of details that Disney puts into every building, queue line, land etc. is amazing. Make sure to take advantage of fastpass, and make sure you give everything a try. I see people skip attractions because they think- "oh that is just for kids" or "that is just a show"...but some of the shows and kiddie attractions are the best and can make even an adult laugh and smile. (It's Tough to Be a Bug gets me laughing every time! But if you have a little one, beware it can be a little scary).

And don't be afraid to ask the park workers for help, they can give great tips about the best time to see a show or what an attraction will be like if you have a little one who is scared..or an adult ;)

And I suggest bringing in your own water and even a few snacks. A bottled water will cost you a pretty penny in the park. Have FUN!

Something we love is stopping at the French Market and getting a hot cocoa, the girls like to listen to the party lines on the old fashioned phones when we are waiting in line. :)
There are others, I'll add more later.....

I love stopping right in the middle of the "hub" where you have the castle in front of you, adventureland & frontierland to your left, and tomorrowland to your right. There is the walt Disney memoriam and a couple of benches as well. It's just nice to sit and watch people go by.:goodvibes

We also love New Orleans Square. They always have the musicians out playing big band jazz songs.

A great photo op is in New Orleans Square towards the Blue Bayou Restaurant, a flight of stairs always filled with flowers.

We love to make a reservation for Carnation Cafe on main street. It so nice sitting there, surrounded by all that Disney feeling pixiedust: and watching all the people walking by.

Just one of many great spots...
