I really don't know where to start, I am so excited to be able to do a trip report after reading so many before our cruise. We flew from Baltimore, MD into Orlando. The Disney people were there waiting for us and escorted us to the Disney buses. They were so nice and so helpful on the whole trip. We checked our luggage in at Baltimore and did'nt handle it anymore until it appeared outside our stateroom that night around 5:00 PM. This trip was absolutely the best vacation I have ever had, and we have been to Walt Disney World five times. The check in at the Disney terminal went quickly and before I knew it my husband and I were standing in the doorway being announced. We were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary and they made a big deal about that when they found out. We then went to make reservations for Palo. These were being taken at the Rockin D Bar and did'nt take very long at all. We made dinner reservations and then also the Champagne Brunch. Both were wonderful, the food and service the very best, and I would recommend that if you have a chance to experience Palo do it!! We went to our stateroom and left our carryon luggage and headed up to Topsiders for lunch. It was great. I love steamed shrimp so I was in 7th heaven! They were all peeled for you, you did'nt even have to get your fingers messed up!! We ate breakfast up at Topsiders every morining except the character breakfast morining. The fresh fruit every morning really spoiled us!! Love that watermelon and canteloupe!! Then we had the wonderful life vest drill!! It was sort of fun to, after we finally figured out how to put the thing on!! I even got a picture of us in our vests, my husband said no, but I told him this was the beginning of our vacation and I wanted to remember everything. After this we took our vests back to our stateroom, and did'nt have to have them again, thank heavens!! Then it was time for the sail away party. What a great time, I get goose bumps just thinking about it. The cast members and cruise director Rick were great all during the trip. Every morning you heard "Have a magical day aboard the Disney Magic", from Rick, and that just made my day, thanks Rick!! The shows were all good and all done in Disney style. Our servers for dinner were Clive from Jamica, and Pema from India. They were so nice and so attentive, we never wanted for anything. Stephanine from France was our Dining Room Hostess and she was so friendly. I just fell in love with all three as the week went on, even had a few tears the last night knowing I was leaving the next day. I could write for a very long time, but all I can say is this was so wonderful and relaxing. Everything was perfect on this trip for us. The weather was beautiful, and Castaway Cay is paradise x 100. You are going to love this island. I just want to say thank you to the Disney folks for the great care they have given to making you feel so special on this cruise. I hope to go again in 2005 or sooner if someone leaves me a load of money!! Thanks to all the dis board folks for all your suggestions on what to bring and what to do when, it really helped make our trip go smooth.
