We are taking our first trip this year to the World for Christmas and will be there the week before Christmas (to hopefully avoid some of the crazy crowds). My question is, what are some of the "don't miss" things...in your all humble opinions....to do at Disneyworld over the Christmas holiday? For example, attractions, places to eat, places to see for the decorations.

All of our other trips have been in the heat of the summer. What weather can we expect? Are waterparks iffy? Are we looking at layering clothing possibly?

What are ideas for Christmas Eve Dinner and Christmas Day Dinner? What has worked for all of you out there that has enjoyed Disney over the Christmas Holiday?

Thanks for any and all ideas.:hyper:

I'm going in December for my first time too (second time to WDW).

What I've read is that Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party and seeing the Osborne Lights at MGM Studios are tops.

I've also read that resort strolling is nice with all the decorations.

Anyone else have ideas?

Last year was our first Christmas in WDW and it was great.
Do not miss the Candlelight Processional, and you might want to do the dinner package with that.
Also, while not huge events, be sure to check out the tree lighting ceremonies at Epcot and MK. They are both nice little touches, and the trees(at all parks) are amazing.
The MK Christmas Parade was nice too.
We arrived after MVMCP had stopped and there were no Osbourne lights last year so we missed those.

On Christmas Eve we spent the day walking around World Showcase checking out the story tellers at each country(or whatever ones we could catch). We had an early dinner(4:20) at Le Cellier, then went on to the 6:45 Candlelight Processional(we did the package). I cant imagine a better night to see that! It was amazing.
On Christmas we hit MK for opening at 8:00, walked on 4 rides, then had breakfast at the castle. We always have a big Christmas breakfast so that was our big meal for the day. We then exited MK as the masses were entering. We spent the rest of the day resort hopping to check out decorations, we threw in a round of mini golf, and in the evening we took a sleigh ride from the WL.
