Hi everyone,

I'm heading to Disney for the 7th time in 3 weeks, and staying at the Sequoia for the 3rd time! I love it there. Heading there with just my partner, and she has never been before.

Anyway, on the day we arrive it is our 1st anniversary. Does anyone know if the hotels there will arrange to have things left in the room or anything? As i'd love to have her walk into the room for the first time when we get there and a surprise big bouquet of flowers and chocolates or something sitting there for her.

Has anyone had anything done like this from the DLP hotels before? Or even know how I can go about arranging something?

Regards,

Hi squizz and welcome to DLP DIS board :wave2:
We are a friendly bunch here so please join in on any other thread or if you have a number of questions then just start a new thread for each :goodvibes

If you have not had a look yet, DLP posting rules are here, DIS posting guidelines can be found here.

I can remember Jill contacting her hotel a few days before her son's birthday and they put a signed card/balloons etc in the room. Perhaps you could get in touch a few days before to see if there is anything they can do?

Are you planning anything special on your trip? A romantic meal maybe?

Thanks, I think this is what i'll have to do.

Was hoping some similar minded romantic had done something in the past and able to say what had/hadn't been possible!

Yeah planning on taking her out to a nice slap up meal somewhere, still a Work in Progress there though.

California Grill squizz, its the only way to go for a really special slap up meal.

If you go in to the DLH you could leave her browsing in the shop whilst you 'nip to the loo' and quickly run into the CG and book. Speak to them direct (special requests for us made via concierge have gone unnoticed in the past) - ask for a lovely table and tell them its a special occasion. They will look after you!

We go every year on our anniv (see my signature) - we always sign the guest book too!

Yeah I've been thinking California Grill too, and its one of the few restaurants i've not eaten at as well.

I'll be calling the hotel to try and work out if its possible to arrange something, is it best to leave it till a few days before? Or say 2 weeks in advance?

Thanks for the tips Emergency Kitten :)
