Help please. I don'thave time to search all the threads. We leave in 48 hours and there is no way we can use15 snack credits and 20+ CS credits. Where can we trade CS credits to get the 3 snacks? I checked Goofy Candy Co and they don't allow it.

Thanks

Your best bet is to try to do this at your hotel on day of checkout. I don't think they will do this at the beginning, but may be accommodating at the end of your trip.

Resort food courts will sometimes do that for you. Everything POP will let you get a drink and two snacks for one CS credit. That is a courtesy, not a formal policy and is subject to change. Ask at your resort, you may need to check with a manager. Any bakery that accepts CS credit might also work with you, check the bakery on Main Street in the MK.

Places that don't accept CS credits will not be able to help you. I don't think this has to be on your last day. Some people just want fruit, yogurt and a drink for lunch. I think the Mara used to let you get 3 or 4 snacks but I wouldn't make a special trip based on year old information and that's the kind of question that won't be answered on the phone.

I was thinking more along the lines of not being able to go to your resort the first day and saying give me 120 mickey heads, I have 20 CS credits, I hope they even out (not that OP was suggesting that).

My advise was more along your suggestion, I just didn't post it.

We leave Sunday. At this point we still have 22 CS and 15 snack credits. And we still have lunch tomorrow. We ate in the concierge most mornings so we didn't use the CS. We tended to snack during the day - too hot to eat lunch most days. I will say we did use more than our TS credits that were alloted. I will ask at Mara as we are staying at AKL.

We were told on 10/2 that it has changed.

We spoke to a manager just to confirm it, and they can no longer substitute the entree.

On 10/11 I was allowed a drink and two snacks, from the grab and go section, for 1 CS credit at Everything Pop. Either it changed back or I got lucky and got a more understanding manager. He did explain there was no substitution but as a courtesy it was allowed. I told the cashier I was using a CS credit for the drink and two snack items and she didn't have to ask anyone, she just rang it up.

Maybe the answer would have been different if I wanted to trade in 20 CS meals for 60 snacks.

We left POP on 10/7 and we too were allowed to trade our CS credits for 2 snacks and 1 drink. The castmember checking us out that day told us and we asked the manager just to be sure and it was!

BUT when we were to check out at the food court the castmember ringing us up said she can not do that so.....we went into another line and when I asked that castmember about using the CS credits for 2 snacks and 1 drink, she said "yes that can be done"

So it depends WHO you ask and WHAT they know!!!

I don't care if it is a one for one is that possilbe? a snack for a CS credit?

You have to be at a location that accepts CS credits such as the resort food court. A CS meal includes a drink, an entree/combo and a dessert. In most cases the drink and the dessert are basically the same as a snack.

JUST ASK

A snack only location, such as a cart in one of the parks won't be able to help you even one for one.

Lewis, you used the DDP? I thought you didn't think it would work for you or do I have you mixed up with someone else?

Anyway, how did you like it?

Good luck, pigletforever!

You have me mixed up. The plan works great. Very simple. Far more items included than you'd expect and the very few exclusions are extremely reasonable and expected.

Plan works for almost everyone. Exceptions would be people who almost exclusively prefer CS meals or who almost exclusively prefer signature meals or people who qualify for deeply discounted resort rates such as CM or FL resident.

Oh, I absolutely agree. I just thought you were one of the DVCers who were certain it wouldn't work for them when the plan was first opened to us.

Another group for whom I don't think it works as well is those who prefer not to have many if any CS meals. That describes my family although we've enjoyed it twice anyway.

And of course there are some DVCers who enjoy preparing most meals on their own.

We had 7 credits left, but were only asking to trade in 1 at that time.

Just another case of getting different answers from different people.

It ended up working out best for us to use our credits for grab & go items to take to the airport with us, so I'm actually glad we were told we couldn't do it. :)
