Last week I read, " Evidence of Murder" (by Samuel Roen).
In short, it covers the 1997 abduction murder of a beautiful, healthy/fit, young mother, loving wife, who also was one of the engineers building CSR at that time.
Usual, sad story: Violent life criminal/sleeze bag, druggie, abducting, killing and dropping off the body in a secluded area.
Just so happened killer/wife/kids were staying at a hotel across the street from Publix grocery store in Xentury Center (on 192) in Kissimmee.
He had the usual fight with his on/off wife; she rejecting his advances.
He walked across the street to Publix, abducted the poor woman, and later dumped her body on a remote area of WDW property.
He never admitted to it. But that is no surprise either.
First, this interested me because of the Disney local/connection and knowing some of the areas they were discussing.
I am still amazed that a young, fit, healthy woman can be abducted around noon time in a busy grocery store parking lot, near WDW -- and no one stepped forward as a witness.
Just truly shows it can happen anywhere to anyone.
Worth a read.
