....

My rule of thumb is that if it keeps me up at night regularly, it is worth a visit to the doctor.

I find that when I hurt my foot I tend to walk funny to compensate for my injury. Sometimes that causes other parts of my leg and/or back to hurt.

Have you taken ibuprofen?

It will take your tendons a LONG time to heal back. Even the slightest wrong move can cause them to flair up. Keep it tightly wrap or go an invest in a $20 ankle brace from wal-mart. That will give the tendons a break and a chance to snap back into place.

Not sure what you mean by this.

I'm just guessing, but she probably means "Why wouldn't you just call the doctor?"

I'm also just guessing, but you are showing signs of a nerve problem. If it was me, I would be calling my doctor right away, at the first sign of a complication, because I would not want it to get worse or cause further damage.

And I don't mean to be rude, and this is not directed at the OP, but what did people do before the DIS? It seems like everyday there is a medical problem question here, and I wonder what people did before they had a message board to post their inquiries on. Hmm, I know, perhaps called their doctor?
