I think almost any officiant will have the general wording for the unity candle. Most (if not all) of the officiants will send you some kind of "planning kit" for your ceremony with a lot of information about different things you can do for your ceremony. We did the blessing of the hands. You can personalize the vows a bit if you want as well.

Years ago Disney kind of "discouraged" folks from having unity candles at outdoor locations (because the wind is unpredictable...and it would suck having the candles blow out at the wrong time!). But with some hurricane globes I think they are letting more and more brides do this. Another option would be the "sand ceremony"

As for a setting, you'll at least need a sturdy table and maybe some floral arrangement if you want. Your coordinator can help you with that. There is an additional cost for this, but I'm not sure what it is.

I believe the service charge is for favors, decorations, etc. that you might want set up at the guest tables for receptions if you have Disney put them on the table.

Oh! Don't cancel the unity candle because of being at SBP...I know several brides who have done it. If it's what you want, GO FOR IT!! ;)

I was just pointing out that when I got married Disney's info did say they discouraged it, but I know lots of folks have done it! (In other words, Disney changes their minds a lot!)

This was my unity candle set up. Disney did it for me (with my inspiration pics of course)they main candle had little crystal mickey heads.

As for the verbage my officiant (rev day had a few suggestions and wordings for us to chose from and you could certainly customize your own.

Pixie08, I've always loved that picture of your unity candle setup. I think I'm going to send Disney a copy of it to let them know I want something like it. :)

I have a question about the candle holders. Is that rented through Disney only if you buy the actual Disney candle set? I was originally going to go with the crystal Mickey set until I found out from MOG that white candles are bad luck in her culture and are usually only lit for deceased people.

So now I have to go shopping for some non-white non-ivory candle set. Maybe if I buy exactly the same diameter size candles as the Disney ones I can just use the Disney candle holders? Anyone know how wide those candles are?

No I think Disney can provide the holder wether or not you buy it from them!

Feel free to use my pic!

I know what the Unity Candle Ceremony is, we did it 33 yrs ago at our wedding. But what is the Rose Ceremony???

You can find more info HERE

But, in general:

The Rose Ceremony is simple yet profoundly moving. The bride and groom exchange two red roses, symbolizing the giving and receiving of their love for each other throughout their entire married life. The Rose Ceremony also conveys how to use the rose and its symbolism in difficult times in order to forgive each other.
