...

The short answer is everything without a height restriction.

At 6 months, DS did well on pretty much all the Fantsayland rides - he really liked IASW, Peter Pan, Pooh, etc. He slept through the darker rides - POTC, HM. The only thing to watch out for was the noise level - the movies, such as Mickey's Philharmagic, were really just too loud for him, plus, he wasn't interested in sitting thru them unless he was napping.

Epcot has rides in Mexico, Nemo, and the Land, Spaceship Earth, etc.

Also, check out the babycare in all the places - nice place to feed baby, nurse, change diapers, etc.

For strollers - at 6 months we used the umbrella stroller Disney sells - it worked just fine for us, and DS slept well with the slight recline. By 8 months we took a Maclaren Triumph - it was easier to carry on the busses, etc. We also took a hip carrier for DS, because there will be lots of times you park the stroller and carry the baby - the hip carrier worked very well for DS at this age.

The 6 month old can ride any rides that donot have a height requirement. Thats basically everything in Fantasyland, Pirates of Caribbean, Jungle Cruise, Riverboat rides, Nemo, the land, and some others. I hope this helps.

When we took DS for the first time he was nearly 4 months and enjoyed all the things posted above. His absolute favorite was It's a Small World. I even took him on that a few extra times while DH took DD on some other rides.
As I've seen on these boards before, your young child may not remember Disney, but you will remember taking them and the joy that you shared.

We are hoping to take our baby to WDW soon. Is there a list of rides that a 6 month old can ride? I have an idea, but an exact list of what he can ride would be wonderful and oh so helpful.

We have been to WDW several times before, but never with a baby, so I am trying to learn all about rides, strollers, ect.

Thanks for any help you can give.
Just have to agree with everyone else . . . he can ride anything without a height restriction, which is pretty much everything but about 12 rides in all of Walt Disney World. I don't know why some people say certain ages are too young to visit Disney World. There is something for everybody of ALL ages. Hope ya'll have a magical time!

I have some more questions on this topic..

We are leaving on Friday (YAY!) for Disneyland and I've read some things about making the babies sit on their own for some rides and not on a parent's lap? We have a 6 month old and she doesn't sit up on her own yet. And plus, making babies sit on their own seems a lot less safe to me than keeping them on your lap!

Anyway...

Which rides can you keep baby on your lap or in a carrier? Which ones require they sit on their own?

TIA!

Thanks everyone!

I have the same question as MommyLove. What rides can I hold him? I think I heard that he needs to sit on his own for TSM, but what about Buzz? Is there enough room to hold him on Buzz (if allowed) since there is a bar?

We took DD at 3 1/2 mos this past Jan. and she went on many rides in our laps and others in a carrier. I just wanted to add that even at such a young age she was very interested in the shows like Bear Jamboree, Nemo and Lion King. I was very suprised that she paid so much attention at such a young age.
