192 Traffic reports???

Hi all, we are heading to WDW next week and staying at AKL. We have been to WDW a few times, but never in peak season. Question: Is traffic on 192 unbearable this time of year? Are certain times of day better than others to go off property? We are arriving close to midnight and I wouldn't be opposed to doing some late night shopping at the Super Target on 192 if the roads will be less crowded. I don't want to waste the better part of the next day picking up our misc. travel items if we are going to get stuck in traffic. Also, I have seen others discussing a new Super Wal Mart that went up. Does anyone know where is that is in relation to AKL???

Traffic should improve by then some since most Orlando area schools will start. This week is very crowded with tourists and locals that are out shopping for school supplies. I would avoid the usual early morning Rush hours and the late afternoon ones. The area around the Super Target is under major road expansion as they add more lanes to 192 so be prepared for that. I would not think you would have huge problems late at night.

The Super Target is on 192 going East toward Kissimmee. From the AKL come out to 192 go East and it will be on your left. You will pass under I-4 and travel a few miles before you get to it. You will also pass the 535 intersection that leads back to the Crossroads area.

The Super Walmart is on 535. So if you come down 192 you would turn back to the left from 192 onto 535 and it will be on your left. This road also carries you back to the Downtown Disney area if you wish to return that way.
