Leaving for a big family trip & there will be 3 young nieces in our group (two 5 yo and a 2 yo) we booked 1900 PF for dinner one of the nights but we've never dined there before, and the others in our party are first timers at WDW -- I know the kids will enjoy this, but will the adults? How's the food?

I think 1900 PF is a great restaurant for first timers and little ones. Not only will your nieces get to see Cinderella and Prince Charming, but the step-mother, Lady Tremaine, and the step-sisters put on a very entertaining routine for all.
The food is pretty good for buffet food. We were there with 21 people and everyone really enjoyed the restaurant.
I think you have made a great choice.

Totally agree with PP! 1900 Park Fare was our favourite meal..not the best, but favourite. It's dinner and a show at the same time. The characters are always on, so make sure you guys are keeping your eyes on them often.

Every so often, when Cinderella and Prince Charming were across the room from one another, he would place his hands to his heart and basically swoon for her, or reach his arms out and call out "my love", or would blow her kisses.
Drizella was across the room with Prince Charming and yelled out to Anastasia that "oh oh Anastasia my prince is here" Anastasia ran across the room yelling "My prince!" and somehow ended up tearing her dress (not part of the show). Right on cue Drizella screeched "Moooooooooooooooooooooooooom Anastasia ripped her dress! Everyone laugh at her!"

It really is a great "production" :) Oh but my girls, 7 and 4 were a little intimidated by Lady Tremaine. She definitely is stern, however when she told my 7 year old to eat her broccoli, you would have thought she was scarfing down candy it was gone so fast :) My DH asked if he could take her home. We (Lady Tremaine) and I also had a conversation about how Cinderella was a sell out and lends her face and name to everything :) (lol we had made autograph books and I couldn't find any Lady Tremaine stickers) Don't be afraid to engage with them.

Whew ok...can you tell how much I loved it?? :) You will have a great time and so will they.

We've visited 1900 Park Fare 3 times now, and had a very enjoyable overall experience all 3 times (2 dinners, 1 breakfast). The characters really interract with everyone (not just the kids) and the stepsisters are a HOOT! The first time we were there, Anastasia demanded my BIL get up and dance with her across the room. OMG... priceless!! Lady Tremaine is fabulous. While there in Sept. 2010, we all had our Ohio State T-shirts on. She noticed that and said "I presume you are from the Kingdom of Ohio?". Who else but Lady Tremaine would come up with a question like that!!

The breakfast was a lot of fun as well... Mary Poppins, Tigger, Pooh, Alice, and the Mad Hatter. Again, WONDERFUL character interaction.

The food is good... hard for me to say it's great, but we all enjoy the Strawberry Soup, and the nice variety it offers. I enjoy these kinds of meals not just for the character experiences, but the fact that it offers my girls a chance to try different foods. If they get something and don't like it, they're not "stuck" with it. My oldest DD tried the seafood/pasta salad they had and discovered her love of squid!

Have a wonderful time!!

We loved it!! we might even change our CHef Mickey ressie to this again. The food is the best buffet (in our opinion) on Disney property...even my boys liked it and blushed when Cinderalla posed with them!! lol They were 9 and 7!:thumbsup2:rotfl2:

I took our 2 nieces there for dinner and the 4 of us were miserable food wise...the food was just disgusting!

The characters were great but we has seen them all at MK earlier that day...that is the first thing my 6 year old niece said "Hey we saw you at the park!"

I would def pass on this one

We love eating there! We've been twice and have another dinner booked for March. Each time we have gone we have been in a large party with several adults and everyone has a great time. I think they have great food too, especially for a buffet.

It's a must for our family. That's one ofthe places that my girls requested for our upcoming trip. The food is pretty good .

we have done 1900 PF a few times and keep going back. we really enjoy the quality of the food compared to the buffet at say chef mickey or Hollywood and Vine. the variety is also quite nice. at least 2 or 3 different stations each with foods in a certain culinary theme.

the character interaction is very good as well. far more than any other cindy interaction we have ever had. (including in the castle)

We were there for dinner a few nights ago. It was probably my most pleasant surprise of the trip. Our little ones loved it and even the teenagers thought it was pretty fun and got into the spirit, taking pictures with all the characters and joking around with them. (Anastasia wanted to marry my 14 year old nephew... :rotfl:)

The food was much better than I expected; the coq au vin in particular was very tasty. I also really liked the chicken marsala and the garden and caesar salads.

All in all, I would definitely do it again and think it was both fun and good food!

We really liked 1900 Park Faire this summer. We liked the food at Crystal Palace better as far as buffet food goes, but LOVED Cindy and her gang.

We enjoyed it! In fact, the girls (and husband) asked to go back with this next trip. I liked the variety of food and we had seats out of the way but with a good view of Cinderella and Prince Charming. The stepsisters are a little overbearing, but my husband took it well.

Truth be told...I think I like 1900 Park Fare character experience as much as dining at the castle.

When we ate there we had a group of 11 people, 5 of whom were kids.

Lady Tremaine told the 9 year old girls (cousins) that she was going to put them to work washing dishes in the kitchen!

The youngest kids were our boys, who were 3 at the time. The boys were a little frightened by Lady Tremaine and one just kept calling her 'the scary lady'. I have an adorable picture of Lady Temaine standing at our table between the boys. The boys are looking up at her and trying not to laugh. Anastasia danced with one of the twins and asked the other to marry her when he grew up. :rotfl2:

Cinderella spent more time talking to each of the children at this dinner than at CRT breakfast. We didn't feel rushed and enjoyed the show. I saw everyone in our party laughing at one point during dinner and considering that this was our last night in the parks after a crazy, commando 7 days that meant something to me!

Everyone enjoyed the meal, but it is the character experience that everyone still talks about. I would eat there again, no hands down!

Whatever you decide I'm sure you will enjoy it!

We really enjoyed it there. The food and the character interaction was great. Even the dads in our group had a lot of laughs. I would definately do it again. :thumbsup2
