Leaving for a big family trip & there will be 3 young nieces in our group (two 5 yo and a 2 yo) we booked 1900 PF for dinner one of the nights but we've never dined there before, and the others in our party are first timers at WDW -- I know the kids will enjoy this, but will the adults? How's the food?

The food at 1900 for dinner is pretty good. No one in our family ever complains and my son is extremely picky. I didn't know how it would go over especially with my son (4) but he loves it for the step-sisters. Every little girl enjoys seeing Cinderella, but for everyone else, the step-sisters and step mother are great. They make miserable comments (in character) about Cinderella getting all the attention. The step sisters were "mad" that in our scrapbook we made they had to share a page. They were making comments about Cinderella getting her own page, but the fact that they always share. Their faces while saying things were priceless and the pictures we have of them from dinner were hilarious. It has always been fun for us.

After all our trips and doing nearly every character meal, we had not done 1900PF. So DD8 and I did it just the 2 of us on our last trip. It was fantastic!!! The food was soooo good and we loved the characters. My only regret is we didn't all do it and we didn't do it sooner. It was so great, we will do it again next time for sure!!!

The food is very good at 1900 dinner - it's a very solid buffet, lots of options, clean, well prepared, good food quality. The characters are great - the step family is very entertaining. Plus, nice to visit the GF to see what's going on there. I recommend it highly.

I as an adult love this buffet, the characters are the best in my opinion of all the character restaraunts. My DD enjoyed herself, my son who a was little embarassed my the stepsisters antics( everytime we dine here), but that makes it even better for us, because it so soo... funny.

Breakfast characters reallly interacted with the kids as well. But I love Tusker HOuse for the food better.

We had dinner there Friday night and had a blast. I thought the food was really good (love that Strawberry soup!), and the characters were fantastic. We waited around for Lady Tremaine and the step sisters to come by our table a second time they were so funny. I was able to get a fight started between the sisters and we were all rolling with laughter.

"YOU CAN'T SPELL 'NASTY' WITHOUT 'ANASTASIA'!"
"GET SOME NEW MATERIAL, DRIZELLA!"

While my DD3 really had fun, I think us adults had even more.

We found dinner at 1900 PF to be one of the most enjoyable for adults.

The stepsisters and stepmother are very funny, and we enjoyed the way all of the characters interacted with each other.

We thought the food was good, also. Lots of different things.

This is our favorite character meal! The stepsisters are hilarious! The food is good and the convenience of GF is great on a MK day. My DD 4 was asked to dance with Drizella and so "he went to the ball with her". Then Anastasia and Drizella spent the remainder of our meal "fighting" over him. It was by far the best interaction with have had at a character meal. We will definitely go back to this one!

We enjoyed our dinner there, however they were very behind on the reservations. I found when we finally complained they sat us, over half an hour late. But it was so crazy that I won't hold it against then:goodvibes

We were a mixed group of 12 people and the food was panned universally by the adults. We enjoyed the character interaction but the food was blah and was one the smallest buffet dinner selection. The overhead announcements were annoying. The prime rib was so well done (even when asked for the bloodiest center cut) it was still horribly grey and well done. I ordered a club sandwich from room service when we got back to the room since I found the food so unappealing. When dining at WDW I never expect fine dining, but I do expect simple "homey" fare from a buffet.

I know plenty of people rave about the strawberry soup, but I think my mom summed it best when she announced that it tasted like melted strawberry ice cream. Personally, soup is a starter and a starter shouldn't taste like melted dessert.

We did it in 2008 when GD was almost 3. Since our ressies for the night before were cancelled due to weather, we wanted the POR to check on these ressies since we were celebrating a birthday. They must have thought it was the babies (GD) so as we were taking our nap, we got a knock on the door and was handed rolled invitation to the ball and a dance with the prince. This just made my GD day, she loved the princesses and at that time Cinderella.

When we got to the ball and the prince saw the paper, he asked her for a dance and they danced (as she says all night long at the ball). We had a great time and would not miss it, thank godness it does not fill up so I just made a ressie for less than 2 weeks from now.

It is good for everyone. We did it once because we wanted a 1 credit TS at the GF and really like buffets. The food was some of the best buffet food we have had, characters were great with 2 adults and one teen and we had a blast!!!!
