I've made all of our ADR, and this is the only one I'm hesitant about--probably because of some of the posts I've read. I've read the menu and looked at other reviews, but you guys are the true experts.

Here's why I booked it: I have a daughter that wants to see Cinderella. We've done CRT twice before and my oldest daughter was never really impressed. Sure, she liked it, but it wasn't worth the 2 table credits (for us). My youngest daughter is the one who wants to see Cinderella. She'll only be three, so not going to the castle won't be a big deal. We still want her to be able to see Cinderella, though, so that's why I booked the meal at 1900 PF. We also have a reservation at Akershus, which my oldest loves, but it's not guarenteed that we'll see Cinderella.

So knowing all of that, will you please tell me your thoughts? Is the food awful? Will it be worth going to ensure we see Cinderella?

Totally keep this!:thumbsup2 It was one of my family's favorite meals. The characters are worth the cost of the meal alone! Cinderella is so sweet and gracious. At this meal, she takes time to chat and pose whereas other places feel more rushed. If your DD3 wants to see Cinderella and you don't want to use up 2 TS credits, eat at 1900 Park Fare. We really love going and the food is good. It's never been a disappointment! I say go and enjoy!:goodvibes

This is our fam's favorite buffet dinner. They have a lot to chose from, especially for the kiddos. Desserts are YUM! The step sisters are hilarious, they do the bibbity boppity boo dance with the kiddos around the restaurant, Cindy and PC are announced and do a waltz. ANd the step mother is very much in character. Its good, fun, and last time we were among one of the first few seated for dinner I guess and everyone made their rounds rather quick, spent enough time with us, but we were in and out, we weren't sitting there forever. Our first time we sat there for a while waiting for Cindy, we were in a room off of the main dining area.

We went in November and really enjoyed it. I know the food gets slammed some, but they were carving roast beef (had some med-rare and another that was more done). They had a delicious horseradish cream to go with it. Add some really fresh salads, mashed potatoes with a delish brown gravy, and really great desserts, and I'm happy!

I got an end piece of the beef - yum!

They had a lot more choices than this, but I didn't even venture past this. It was really yummy.

My girl's a lot bigger than yours, and she was still THRILLED to see Cinderella, as you can see. Totally worth it!

We have never had a bad experience at 1900 PF. DD was here when she was 4 and loved it. Anastasia even chose her for a dance. When we were going back for DD's 6th birthday this was her first choice for her birthday dinner!

This dinner is a ton of fun. The step sisters are so funny and the food is really good.

Lots of character interaction b/c the characters interact with each other, they don't just walk by the table ( but they do that too.)

I will post some pictures after I have reached the min posts required

The food was okay, nothing great, but you go here for the characters anyway. We all enjoyed it but my youngest, who was just shy of 5 at the time, was not too sure about the step-sisters & step-mother. Most characters at Disney are so happy so she didn't know how to take the steps' attitudes. My older two LOVED it & hammed it up with them. Younger daughter has never been so quiet in her life! She kept staring at them and was very offended when they told her she had a stain on her shirt, pointing to the picture of Tinkerbell on her brand-new shirt she'd just picked out at MK that very afternoon. I wish I had prepared her, telling her they would be rude, like the characters in the movies. That would be my only advice.

Thanks for everyone's input. I feel relieved after reading everyone's thoughts. Also, thanks for the posted pictures--gives me a better idea of what to expect--especially the food. Good tip on warning my kids about the stepsisters "attitude." My oldest, who is 7, will be able to play into their act if I forewarn her.

We loved 1900 PF!! I had made my DD (age 3) a Drizella dress and she got so much attention from the step-sisters and step-mother. She even got to open the restaurant and be escorted to our table by Cinderella and Prince Charming. Drizella spent nearly 10 minutes at our table with DD because she was so excited to see someone dressed as her.

Oh, and the food was yummy, too! :thumbsup2

We loved 1900 PF!! It was the best meal my daughter ate!! LOL, I think it was the Mickey plates!!

Anastasia and Maddy. I think she liked Maddy, she came by like 3 or 4 times!! :thumbsup2

I thought the food was wonderful and the character interactions were just hilarious. And Cinderella was adorable and sweet. Definitely keep the reservation!

One of our favorites. The food was good especially the carved beef. The characters were great and it was one character meal that we didn't feel rushed at all.:)

:thumbsup2 I am not a buffet person but do enjoy this buffet.

We'll be doing this dinner for the first time as well in April. I'm happy to hear good reviews! :thumbsup2

Wow! I appreciate everyone's overwhelming response and all the great pictures posted. As I stated in my original post, this reservation was the only one I was starting to question and worry about, but the experts (YOU GUYS) have spoken and I totally feel at ease now. I'm looking forward to our experience here.

We went in March 2009.

We had a bit of a long wait even though we had a 5:10 pm ADR. Probably 30 minutes. After about 45 minutes seated we still didn't see any characters. DH asked a manager and someone (I think) goofed up and they had to redirect the characters. I saw a few other grumpy parents. So we had to wait another 45 minutes to see the characters. The food was not really good. DH is NOT picky and even he said he didn't care for the food and he NEVER complains about food. :lmao:

Either way DD LOVED it. :lovestruc:cloud9: It was worth it for her and even DH said so.

With all that, I am even thinking about doing it again this next trip. :scared1: She's only a little girl once and won't want to do these meals when she gets older. :sad2: Plus who knows when we will be back again. We try to go every year but you never know.

I'll add my recommendation to the rest:

The dinner food was great. The restraunt was a tad bit noisy, but nothing to worry over. The deserts were outstanding.

The character interaction was amongst the very, very best we've had at Disney. The step sisters are absolutely top knotch, (if you want some attention, have your kids sing that 'stepsister' song from the movie.) The Stepmother stays in character, so don't be alarmed if she tosses a few sideways insults to any pretty young girls that might be 'threatening' to her daughters. Every time we're there, the prince and Cinderella are perfect. The dance is a nice touch. It's a riot.

We did this the other week and my DD loved it, the food was nice however the characters we great. It is on her must do list for our next trip.
