Due to a schedule change (no Electric Parade any nights at MK during our trip in 3 weeks  ) we changed up our days and we're now hitting MK for extended hours. I was lucky to get all my other ADR's on different days. HOWEVER, I lost Crystal Palace. not to big a deal, my boys are 14 and 11. The only options left open: 1900 park fare, GF cafe, liberty tree, and tony's. I went ahead and booked 1900pf, but should I change? Thanks?:goodvibes

My opinion, don't change it!! I think that the character interaction is excellent there. One of the highlights of our trip was when we went there and my son (then 8) got stuff all over the front of his shirt. The wicked stepmother was so funny with him and jokingly scolding him for making such a mess....we still talk about it. Plus the step sisters are really quirky and funny too and the mice.....a must do for us!!!

1900 Park Fare is one of our faves. Alice was chased around the dining room, tigger got in an M&M fight with the Mad Hatter, and there was lots of interaction at the tables. Also, there are some tasty options at the buffet.

would you say that all the Character Dinner Buffets serve all the same kinda food? I mean, will the dinner be like Crystal Palace w/different characters?

I agree with others, keep 1900 Park Fare - it's an excellent buffet IMO - the other places you named are not near as good.

I would keep it because the step sisters will love your sons. However, if they rebel or you do decide to change it, Liberty Tree Tavern has a terrific dinner. It's served all you can eat family style and it was fabulous!!!!

I'm beginning to think less about the food and more about how the step sisters will torture my sons!!! LOL! :rotfl:

We ate there several years ago when we went for my dd's 3rd bday. I also have 2 older sons, 16 and 18 at the time. The stepmother asked if they were single, I replied yes, she yelled across the place for the step sisters who came running. It was hilarious!! We found the food not so great but I was actually tossing around going back in May. If I continue to see posts indicating the food has improved we may try again ourselves. It may provide the best character interaction for your boys. And you as well. LOL.

For sure keep it! We love 1900 PF! Best character interaction and the food we had was delicious!

Keep 1900 Park Fare. Be sure to try the Strawberry Soup. And the Stepsisters will have a lot of fun with a couple of teen/tween boys (embarrass them like mad).

Sorry to hijack your thread OP, but does 1900 Park Faire dinner still include Cinderella and Prince Charming as characters?

Keep it and have one of your boys "propose" to either stepsister. Get a cheap plastic party-favor type ring with a huge "jewel" in the center. Make sure your video camera is running...it will be WELL worth it!! :thumbsup2 :rotfl2:

Or, conversely, somehow get the box with the trinket to a character handler (you can tell who that is) and ask them to do the proposal. Years ago at Cape May Cafe Dale proposed to my wife, using a wrapped napkin ring as a "Chipmunk Wedding Ring"; Goofy conducted the ceremony, Chip was Best Man, and Pluto was the witness - I took the pictures.
