1900 Park Fare

I just cancelled Hollywood & Vine because I didn't know the characters were from Playhouse Disney. Anyways, to replace it, I booked 1900 Park Fare, but when we are going to be there it will be in the GF Cafe. My question is, what is Park Fare like? How is the food?

PS: We will be there for breakfast.

When 1900 Park Fare is in 1900 Park Fare, it's one of the most wonderful buffets we've found at WDW. What will it be like while it's temporarily relocated to the Grand Floridian Cafe? No one knows. The refurbishment doesn't start until July.

Disney has said it will be a pre-plated menu with several options. It will not be a buffet or a full menu. I think someone mentioned a few of the entrees in another post, but I don't remember them.

Whether or not it's worth it will become clear when the first trip reports start hitting Dis.

We loved 1900 Park Fare not only for the food, but for the unique characters! This was the only place we saw Mary Poppins, Mad Hatter, and Alice and they were some of our favorite character experiences. Pooh and Tigger were great, too, but we had seen them in the parks and at CP so my kids were more excited about the other characters.

I just want to be sure of one thing. Are the characters there for breakfast and dinner or just for breakfast? I've heard both of these versions so I'm turning to the experts.

1900 Park Fare is a character meal for both breakfast and dinner. breakfast is hosted by Mary Poppins and is meant to be UK-oriented characters and dinner is Cinderella's Gala Feast, hosted by Cinderella and features Prince Charming, FGM and Suzy/Perla

if you call the dining number they will tell you exactly the plated choices. i have to remember I am there for my daugher to see cinderallly. did not want to use up two dinner credits to eat in the caste so it is the next best thing. The plated dinner choices sounded good. It has to be much better then norway, did not enjoy that , but my daughter loves ariel and had to again do it for her. have agreat trip.

We are also going to 1900PF in Sept. And the CM that booked the ADR read me the menu over the phone. The choices sounded pretty good. Even had strawberry soup as an appetizer choice.

I am reaaly looking forward to eating at the new temporary location, never been there so it's a new experience for us.

I can't say what it will be like when 1900 Park Fare is not in it's regular home, but DBF and I ate breakfast there in May and it was by far our favorite breakfast. The buffet has so much selection and we loved the characters (this means a lot coming from DBF who rolled his eyes when I informed him we would be attending a character breakfast). I think they have it organized really well so that the guests remain seated and the characters come to them - this makes for a lot less confusion when others are trying to get up to the buffet. Hopefully Disney is planning on keeping some of the same format (apparently not the buffet, but the characters/organization) when 1900 Park Fare is in GF Cafe.
