Please tell me about 1900 Park Fare. I am considering that for my next trip, but don't know whether to go for breakfast or dinner. My daughter wants to see Mary Poppins (she wanted to know if Julie Andrews will be there!). Thanks. :)

We love 1900 Park Fare. Have only eaten there at Breakfast. Mary Poppins, Bert,& Minnie Mouse were there. I know Suzy & Perla are always there as well. It's a buffet with lots of choices.

I don't know if this is the norm, but when we went for Dinner, Mary Poppins was not there.

Mary Poppins is at breakfast, Prince Charming and the mice are there at dinner. The food is the best of the dinner buffets (IMHO). There are some little hidden gems. For instance, on the bread table you will find real scones (like at Palo tea on the ship). At dinner, you can get a smoothie as a beverage on the DDP.

We felt that the service had been drifting downward, but were really pleasantly surprised on our December trip--it was back up to snuff again!

we always go for breakfast and the past two times we were there alice in wonderland, mary poppins, cinderella and prince charming were there, as well as eeyore and the mice from cindy's. love the food, and i ama picky eater! go for it! :thumbsup2

Dinner is an affair with Cinderella. Okay, it's not really an affair, since Prince C would be jealous, and I'm sure he has a castle or two with moats (calling Jimmy Hoffa!). In addition to Cinderella and Prince Charming, we also saw Suzy and Perla. Though the Fairy Godmother most often greets at the door, when we were there two weeks ago, it was Snow White vice FG.

As for the food and service, both were very good. The carving station's prime rib actually had cuts for those who like uncharred meat, and the salads were all fresh. Highlights include the freshly prepared as you watch shrimp and asparagus alfredo, portobello ravioli, and curried chicken with couscous. The dessert station was quite good, as well, offering key lime and raspberry cheese cake tarts, bread pudding, and even bananas foster among other items. Kids have their own food bar with the "classics": mac and cheese, pizza, chicken, etc. And I believe I spied a soft-serve machine, too. Service was prompt, friendly, and unobtrusive. Very impressive. Overall, we thought the value for the meal was excellent.

we ate there last June and it was quite good. My DH loved the chilled strawberry soup, prime rib, and pb & j :rotfl2: uncrustables.

You'll have to forgive me...everytime I see "1900 Park Fare" or "Suzy and Perla" I cant help but chuckle due to the troll over at RADP.

For those who dont know...nevermind.

We loved our dinner there 2 weeks ago and the Fairy Godmother was there that night. DD did her 16th bday dinner here she was surprised that Prince Charming danced with her which made many many younger girls very jealous.

Food was subperb we loved it. NOT your common disney buffet by any means.

We have eaten breakfast and dinner at 1900 Park Faire, many times in the last few years. Each time the meals were really great! The character interaction is wonderful and you never feel rushed like you do at the other 2 princess meals. The food is really quite good and there are choices for even the pickiest of eaters! One of my favorite things about 1900 Park Faire is that the CM's really seem to enjoy their jobs. They are always smiling and do a great job (unfortunately, I can't say this about all the character meals at WDW). On a side note, we have had Mary Poppins at just about all our CRT meals and on several of the Storybook Breakfasts. We like 1900 Park Faire so much that we will be having Thanksgiving dinner there this year!

I'm considering adding this restaurant to our ADR's. Sounds like most people enjoy it. :)

We've had dinner there twice now. Once, last year with free DDP, and in January were we paid for it. We love the dinner. :goodvibes We think it's the best buffet at WDW. And the character interaction is good. The mice are great! :cool1: The continue around the room so if it's not too crowded you can see them more than once. Cinderella and the Prince stop by once. Both times we've been there we haven't seen FGM. But we have always had late dining. We prefer to eat later. We are going back this Sept. for both dinner and breakfast.

This will be our first breakfast and it'll be my DD princess: 7th birthday. I'm sure it'll be wonderful. :thumbsup2

Happy Dining!

We are going here in September. Is Cinderella always at the dinner? My dd will be soo disappointed if she's not there. It's the reason we chose this place. :
