I'm doing my ADR's for September (for the third time!) and I'm trying to decide if we should stay with Chef Mickey's or try 1900 Park fare one night. We have been to Chef Mickey's twice before, but haven't tried 1900 Park Fare. It will be me, DH, and DS who is 2, so I think he'll like the characters at both places. The food sounds good at 1900 Park Fare, so I thought maybe we'd try it. Any thoughts? Likes/dislikes about either place? Thanks!

I think the characters at 1900 park and fare are more geared towards girls, so you might want to stick with Chef Mickeys.

Hi Jessica!

Ordinarily, I would highly recommend the 1900 Park Fare, but it is going to be closed for Refurbishing until Oct. 1. :(

The are moving both character breakfast dinner to the Grand Floridian Cafe. It will not be a buffet but a choice of appetizer to share for the table. Choice of entree for each person. Choice of dessert to be served family style to the table.

I think that we may pass...

Thanks for the info. I'll stick with Chef Mickey's and try 1900 Park Fare another time!

Believe me, if given the choice, I would pick the PF over CMs any day of the week.

I hope that you get a chance to go there someday. It is a wonderful character meal. :)

We did Park Fare once and were underwhelmed. I think part of the problem was that we were shoved into a table way in the back, crowded and noisy and far from the buffet. I want to give it another try -- but not until it reopens.

I have a dinner ressie there. The CM did not tell me that the menu was changing. Is this in writing somewhere?

When is your reservation? 1900 Park Fare is closing July 9th until October 1. They are having the character meals in the Grand Floridian Cafe (which I was considering trying without the character meal). I was told by a CM who was reading off a screen or other printed material that she had about the food for this character meal.

You could call 407-WDW-DINE and see if you hear the same thing that I did.

1900 Park Fare is our favorite place for breakfast! They have the best oj there!!! But we have never been for dinner, but I have heard that it is really good! and a good show too!

I hope to try it someday when it is back to its location and buffet options. I don't want to go for the first time during the renovation. The menu online sounds great! Oh well, just another reason to plan more Disney trips!!

I did happen to ask the Cm when I called to add some other reservations and she told me about the renovations at Park Fare. She didn't get as specific as other posters, but she just said it was a "plated meal" which led me to believe it might be something like CRT. I didn't get details.

We are going last week of August. I think I will call back. Thanks for the tip.
