I have other character meals set up, and really want to do Akershus....DD is 2 1/2 and DS is 5 1/2. I am thinking Akershus for breakfast rather than 1900 Park Fare for dinner. Comments....suggestions from those of you who have been in this situation. No big Cinderella lovers here...just love princesses overall. However, I do want to make it to the Grand Floridian to see the gingerbread house......

I have never done the 1900 Park Fare dinner, but I have done the Akershus Breakfast and will tell you it is awesome! The food is great, it's served family style so it's less hectic than most character meals, and the Princess interaction is wonderful! I would highly recommend it to anyone!

I've also done Akershus, and we enjoyed it. The princesses were even great with my son, who was 3 at the time. We have great pictures of him with lipstick "kisses" all over his face. I wouldn't think you'd want to do both of them. That being said, 1900 Park Fare is on our list for our June trip. We have a Cinderella lover (though she's 8 now), and we also have a large multi-generational family group going. We think that the interaction with the Stepmother/stepsisters will be fun.

Akershus is better if you dont really care what princess you see. It was non stop princesses compared to 1900 park fare. I like the dinner food better at 1900. But youre going for dinner. Id go with Akershus if you can only do one.

We have been to both. Askershus breakfast is really good and quite a few princesses were there, we are going to do it again in dec. for sure!
1900 park fare is also nice. My daughter got to dance with the prince- the step sisters are hilarious but the food is only so-so. We may do it in dec. if DD "needs" to see the prince!

We took our 2 nieces in January and booked 1900 PF for dinner and Norway Princess breakfast.

The characters at both meals were incredible with the girls...my youngest niece was in heaven.

The food at 1900 PF was disgusting, to the point inedible...the girls complained because it was so "yucky"

The food at PSB was excellent and they ate a ton of food, we have done this one twice with the girls and both times it gets two :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Full reviews and pics are in my June link.

We thought the food at Akershus was not good, but we liked the food at 1900 Park Fare. The service at Akershus was HORRIBLE, and we really enjoyed the interaction with the wicked stepsisters at 1900 Park Fare.

I have done Park Fare for breakfast and once it enough. Food was barely average to me and my family. The place was LOUD and it took us 45 to catch a bus to get back to home resort. Mary Poppins was simply BEAUTIFUL. The staff was frazzled and snooty.

We have done both and we prefer 1900 Park Fare. We thought the food was better at PF and there seemed to be more of a variety. I'm glad we did the PSB breakfast, but once was enough for us.

Both are WONDERFUL, but we are partial to the breakfast with the princesses, but it's not cause of the food (though I do love those potatoes). My little one dresses up like a princess for those meals and for the breakfast she is fresh as a daisy and ready for pictures. Hair looks great and she is up for momma snapping a billion pics. For the dinner, her Cinderella dress was crushed in a backpack and was all wrinkled. I remember being in the bathroom right before our ADR attempting to put her hair up and she is tired and hungry and doesn't nearly want to put up with me. Interaction with characters at both meals are fun. Especially had fun with the Step Mother and Sisters. They crack us up. But, vote would go to the breakfast...though go crazy...book both!
