Hello all!!!!

I didn't get into the castle today for breakfast:( - I feel so defeated because I have always gotten in before.

Anyway - 1900 Park Fare is looking like it may be a good option for us (for dinner), but we have never been and I'm looking for opinions.
Would you recommend this?
Is Cinderella always there for dinner?
Do you have to dress better than normal?
What foods do they serve?
Do they have a childrens buffet?

If all my friends here on the DIS could be so kind as to post what you think, I would really appreciate it.

Thanks a million:wave:

1900 Park Fare has been one of my favorite dinners. I think I liked it better with the pooh characters than with cinderella, Prine Charming...etc. That's only because it's more crowded with Cindy than it was with Pooh and Co.

If you go, save room for dessert. My husband loved the Strawberry soup as did my son. I love the roast beef (for buffet roast beef).

As for the dress, no you don't have to dress up. We've gone right from the parks.

HTH,
Shelly

We tried this in May and plan to make it a part of our future Disney vacation plans. The food was great!!

We ate at 1900 Park Fare earlier this month and really liked it. The food was pretty good and there is a separate children's buffet area. Prince Charming and the Fairy Godmother greeted guests in the waiting area while Suzy, Perla, Prince Ali(Aladdin)and Cindy made the rounds. It did take Cindy a while to get to every table(we were there a little over an hour). Here is a link to the current menu:

After reading the menu, I just remembered how yummy the 5-cheese lasagna was:p I don't think I see it listed on the menu but there is also do-it-yourself sundaes (but the toppings were hard to get to--they were along the wall where people line up for the dessert buffet). The character interaction was very good. If you are looking for princesses I also would recommend PSB in Epcot. We also enjoyed this character meal and we got to see Mary Poppins, Jasmine, Belle, Mulan and Sleeping Beauty. The food is pretty standard but it is a great opportunity for some princess time!

We went for dinner in December and it was wonderful!!! Cinderella and Prince Charming were there (and very charming :teeth: ) . There was too much food to post!!!!

We loved 1900 Park Fair Dinner. The adult food was good, like most I loved the strawberry soup. The desserts were good too. But the children's buffet was the best of all the Character Meals we went too. Jonna loved it and even ate at this Character Meal -not a usual occurance for her. Her favorite part was the hamburger patty and separate bun. Go figure.

As far as character interaction, I would agree with the previous poster that the PSB in Norway was better for princesses. But the Cinderella crew was fun as well.

We were there in April in our shorts. We were staying at the GF, and the guests at the hotel were not dressed up.

The only people dressed up were dining at the other restaurants or were there for weddings. You will not feel out of place coming from the parks to eat at Park Fare.

I sat in the lobby and listened to the piano player/orchestra in my shorts and sandals and didn't feel out of place either.

The food was fantastic. I'm a picky eater and a vegetarian...and there was more than I could eat.

The characters were fantastic.

This restaurant fills up too, so don't postpone making your PS.

We ate there last Aug as a "sub" for going to the castle. My DDs loves it. DD1 (then 4 1/2) got to go to the children's buffet all by herself and was very proud of it. We were seated rightn near the buffet, so we never lost sight of her. Cindy definitely took a lot of time to work the room, but it was worth the wait for DD1. DD2, well she was only 22 months, so her attention span was nil. DH ended up taking her to the lobby while we waited for Cindy!

We also went to the PSB, and that was great. We had one of the first PSs and were right near the doors where the princesses enter. We managed to eat and see all of the princesses before DD2 got bored! Then a leisurely stroll thru an empty World Showcase, to a still quiet Future World.

I dined here on my last trip and was pretty disappointed with both the food and the service. I found the chioces more limited compared to the Crystal Palace and the character interaction was minimal. I would do breakfast at the Crystal Palace or even Chef Mickey's, rather than the 1900. Breakfast at both the Crystal Palace and Chef Mickey's are very good and we were very pleased with the food, service and character interaction.

We dined at 1900 Park Fare for the Cinderella dinner in May and it was FABULOUS! The food was good, we were seated quickly in spite of the crowd, and the character interaction couldn't be beat! Our server was one of the best ever....if you get MaryEm you should feel lucky :) Cinderella and all the characters were just superb! Simply made my daughter's trip!

FYI...we did CRT breakfast in December. I've never felt so rushed at a meal. The characters barely signed autographs and we only had one chance at a picture. Due to the morning light coming in the windows right into my lens, they were all bad :( But the tables are so close together that getting up to take the photo wasn't a possibility! Don't get me wrong...I love dining in the castle. But I'll be going for dinner one night (menu is better than the breakfast one anyway), and seeing Cinderella at 1900!

Our night there was SO magical that I would have GLADLY paid double for me, DH, and DD-3! And I'm a cheapskate!! It was THAT good ::yes::

Make sure you get pictures of your little princess on the coach out front!! princess:
