Brunch time breakfast on first day (will arrive the night before, stay at POP, then go to CR to check in for our week long stay). Trying to decide between 1900 Park Fare breakfast and 'Ohana breakfast. Right now we have 'Ohana ADR, DD will be 2 and this will be her first trip. She loves Mickey, but has no idea who Lil and Stitch are. I have no idea how she's going to react to characters, so I'm nervous that Lilo and Stitch may freak her out since she doesn't know them. She would love to see Mickey right away though. Have only been to 1900 PF for dinner, and we enjoyed it. The characters at breakfast seem an odd mix, but DD2 also loves Pooh. Thoughts? Anyone? Thanks!

Note: We have CM for dinner, that's why it isn't in the consideration set.

I would recommend 1900PF over Ohana for two reasons.

First, characters - I think a 2 yr old would find the 1900 PF breakfast characters to be more gentle and less threatening. The "mix" of characters does make sense; they are all from stories set in England. There are both face characters (Alice, Mary Poppins) and fully costumed characters (the Pooh animals) at 1900 PF so even if your little one becomes frightened by one type of character you can always just interact with the other one.

Second, food - you said it's a "brunch" breakfast. You have a much bigger selection of food types at 1900 PF because it's a true buffet, while at Ohana you just get the limited types of food in the breakfast skillet even though you can have endless refills of those foods.

Oh, I get the England theme now!! I do like the idea of face and costumed characters for her first experience. And, the range of foods. Thanks for the very helpful perspective!

We like both breakfasts but we really like the characters at 1900 Park Fare. There are more face characters there than at O'hana's (they don't have any) so if you think your little one may be afraid of Lilo, Stitch, Pluto, and Mickey then I would definitely switch it for 1900 because they have Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, Mad Hatter, Alice, and Mary Poppins (the last 3 are face characters). Personally I like the food selection over at 1900 Park Fare too so that is another reason why I would switch. Good luck with what you decide on and have a magical trip .

We loved 1900 Park Fare. The food was wonderful... A big selection! We've never been to Ohana for breakfast but the food doesn't sound as exciting to me. I also agree that your little one may enjoy the interaction with the face characters better!

Thanks everybody. So, the 1900 PF is standard breakfast buffet? What is the food at 'Ohana? I know she won't be scared of Mickey at 'Ohana, but she has no idea who Lilo and Stitch are. She will also not be scared of Pooh but has no idea who Mary Poppins or Alice are. To the points' above, they probably won't be scary though, because they're face characters. Is Pooh always at 1900? Thanks!
