Anyone been to both? Both look really good for dinner. How was the food and the atmosphere? I know Park Fare is a buffet and character meal and Grand Floridian is not. But other than this, how do they compare? Both look like very good values on the dining plan.

we have eaten lunch at GF cafe and found it to be excellent. however, last october we dined at 1900 Park Fair and was very disappointed. we have eaten here several times and this last trip was not the best. based on that i would choose GF cafe. happy dining!

I know many people love 1900 Park Faire food but I have been 3 times and been disappointed each time. The food is not bad but I didn't think it was great. It is okay overall with a couple items that were real good. I do not eat prime rib so cvan't comment on that. The kids buffet was pretty good. :) The atmosphere is good at 1900 Park Faire though and we have had good interaction with the characters, and we have always been parties with no kids.
I much prefer the food at Grand Floridian Cafe. It is cooked fresh to order and the service has always been good. It is pretty inside with some pleaseant views out the windows and the service has been excellent...and it is more relaxing....much less chaotic.

DH & I went to the GF cafe last May and we really enjoyed it! I was able to get the fondue dessert sampler for me on the dining plan and my husband got a dessert too. Not sure if they still have it but it was sooooo good. We are planning on doing the 1900 Park Fare for breakfast for our trip in Sept. Have fun!!
