Hi All:

This has probably been addressed before, but I haven't come across it in my searching. Which would you recommend for lunch/dinner? CRT seems great since it is in the castle, but it requires 2 TS credits and we were also thinking of Hoop Dee Doo Review. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

We did 1900 Park Fare breakfast several weeks ago and it was just ok. We also did CRT for breakfast and it was fantastic - food good; well organized very neat! It only took about 1 hour. :love:It is 2 DC but it includes a $30 picture package; wand or sword; wishing star and includes the gratuity plus the character interaction with the princesses was great. We saw Cinderella for the picture. Upstairs, we saw Ariel, Aurora, Jasmine and Sleeping Beauty.

An early Dinner at CRT is a Family Tradition. Even if I wanted to go elsewhere....I couldn't.:lovestruc

So we blow our 2 TS meals there. Then on "Resort Day" order pizza for the kids while DH & I go out to dinner by ourselves OP. :thumbsup2

DD and I have done CRT the last two years in a row for breakfast. It was the only request she made for our upcoming trip, so I booked it again (just this morning!) for August. And this year, DH and my two boys are coming along because they want to eat in the castle too. It's special for so many reasons--even if it's pretty expensive.

We've always paid OOP before, but this year we're on the deluxe, so we're using our two credits for the meal.

Last year we did 1900 Park Faire for dinner. It was fine. Cinderella and Prince Charming were nice. The stepsisters and stepmother were funny. But it lacks the magic of the castle. DD did not ask to return there, and no one else cared to either, so it's not on our list. It was an okay experience but certainly not memorable or special.

Have fun whichever you choose!

We did both last week. CRT for lunch and 1900 for dinner with Cinderella. They are both great. My DD is a huge stepsister Anastasia and Prince Charming fan, so she really liked 1900. She also really loved being in the castle and CRT. If I had to pick one though, I think I would pick the castle. I would do lunch because you will see 5 princesses at lunch, Cinderella for a picture downstairs, and the 4 will come around to your table (we saw Snow White, Ariel, Sleeping Beauty, and Belle). Dinner it is only a picture with Cinderella and then I think a little show with the Fairy Godmother and the mice upstairs. The reasons I would pick CRT is because of 1) the castle and 2) it is not a buffet, so you don't have the hectic pace and noise, and you aren't constantly worried about the timing of going up to the buffet so you don't miss a character. Also, we thought the food at CRT was really good. I don't think you can go wrong with either one.

I have never had breakfast at CRT. I have had dinner there. I would pick CRT breakfast over 1900. We did 1900 in January for breakfast. It was not magical. When we arrived, we gave the hostess our names. We had 2 two year olds that were still in the stroller. We asked where we could place the strollers and we were told where the stroller parking was outside. As we were walking out to the stroller parking, we were told "keep them contained until we call you". I was so upset! Contained??? Did my daughter look like a ferret or hamster? Keep in mind that neither girl had said one word. It wasn't as if they were having a meltdown. I will not be going back. The character interaction was very rushed..quick picture and gone. I also ordered an omlet. I waited and waited. Four people ordered and received theirs. I left and went back to the table. I was told that it was ready but by that time I was over it. From what I've read, this might be an unusual experience but it was incredibly LOUD. It's sad when a toddler says "Mommy big noise" while at Disney.

It's been about three years since I did CRT. It was just okay. The characters there really felt rushed. I ate there one other time in 2002/2003 for lunch. That was before the dining plan evenand no characters at lunch. It was very blah. In my opinion the only reason to do CRT is a chance to see inside the castle. EVeryone knows the castle is in high demand and it shows in their attitude. 1900PF is much more out to please, in my experiecnce.

I've only done 1900 Park Fare for dinner, but it was excellent! A few years ago it was good, a few months ago it was very good. They've updated the menu at dinner and th format of the meal. The characters at dinner were also fun. I think the step sisters especially must have fun doing their jobs! Everyone was very much interacting in character, not just waving and walking away like at CRT.

CRT is special. It is the only place my little one has asked to go back. We had awesome character interaction with all the princesses. They took their time and talked to my girls. I have not been to 1900 Park Fare but we are trying that one this trip. You only see one pricness at that meal and that is Cindy.

Eating in the castle was magical. The wishing ceremony is sweet. The photo package is great.

We really enjoyed it.
