Trying to pay for 1 breakfast out of pocket. I really wanted to see the princesses however Cinderella castle is full? Akershus or 1900 Park Fare? I have 2 DD ages 9 and 12. One is a very picky eater. Will be staying at POR how difficult is it to use bus to GF? thanks! :cutie:

OKay I would pay for PF out of pocket. I have ate both and was not impressed with the Akershus at all. To get to GF is easy, just hop on a bus to MK then either take the boat or monorail to the hotel. You get off the monorail head into the building and down one floor and it's on the right hand far side. Just make sure you allow yourself plently of time to get there.

We did the Akershus for lunch/dinner (3:35) in May and the food was truly horrible. That was our first character dining experience ever, and I am really glad we did 2 more during that trip or else we probably would have never done it again. I had to feed my whole family when we left there because nobody could eat the food. Breakfast might be better, hopefully someone else gives you some insight on that. HTH!

to me for breakfast I could go to a cs get better food and not have the taste of whatever was on the bottom of the breakfast food. The only good thing from breakfast was the cinammon rolls which are to die for.

Seeing cinderella was a top on our list too..did you know she is doing a dinner at the GF? We have adrs for that our first night. It is Cindy, Prince Charming, Fairy Godmother and 2 of the mice who i cant for the life of me recall their names right now!

CRT is always booked up 180 or 190 days in advance!! So no real suprises there. Akershus breakfast is usually busy too, we didn't get the day or time we wanted and were offered a suitable alternative.

I much prefer Akershus - the breakfast is an all American all you can eat served direct to your table, and it's in Epcot so you can do the parks afterwards. Much more convenient and seems a lot more fun (although I've never done Park Fare!!)

To get to the GF from POR you'd need to change at a park or the TTC... it would probably take a long time. We're staying at POR too and are leaving about an hour and 15 mins to get to Akershus but we will be stopping off to do some rides first :teeth:

Breakfast at Park Fare is not a princess meal. It's Mary Poppins(in the lobby), Alice and the Mad Hatter. Tigger and Pooh. (some have reported seeing Eyore) The food was good and cost my family of four around $63 (two adults, two kids) then was $51 with DDE :thumbsup2

Was just going to post this same thing...I understood it that the OP was asking about breakfast. If you want to see the princesses, your only other alternative for breakfast is Akershus. We did this last year and DD2(at the time) liked it, but the rest of us were none too pleased with the meal. It WAS convenient, though because Epcot is our favorite park.
This year, we really want to see Cinderella and have no desire to do CRT...we've decided to do 1900 Park Fare for dinner....this might be something to think about. The menu looks fantastic and we can't wait! :thumbsup2

We ate at 1900 Park Fare in Dec last year and really enjoyed it! The characters were fantastic and the food was wonderful too. They have lots of options, pasta, meats, and soups. The strawberry soup was great! We saw Cinderella, Snow White, Prince Charming, Suzie & Perla. All of them were very attentive and most came around twice! Your dd's will love it! Have a magical time!
