My daughter loves Mary Poppins so we thought about breakfast there but I have not seen much feedback about the character meals there. Any info would be great!

in my opinion, the character breakfast was great! the food was delicious
(lots of variety) and the atmosphere was beautiful. i would definately go there again for another meal! :thumbsup2

I went there last Oct for the first time and after going to WDW since the 1980's I couldn't believe how I had missed this :confused3

The food was fantastic, the character interaction was wonderful and your daughter will love meeting Mary Poppins, she greets you in the hallway and you get a great picture opportunity with only her..sitting on a bench...she was really in character and quite lovely.really wish they would bring Photopass photographers into the restaurants for those great character pictures but you will still have a great time!

My DW took all the girls on our trip there and they said it was the beast Character Bfast they had been too... Go you will enjoy it

We are going in December and looking forward to it -- we love Mary Poppins. Saw on another post somewhere that Bert showed up, too! We're hoping he's there when we go. Wishful thinking, but you never know!

good meal. except when i ticked of mary poppins.

i had her say supercalifragilisticexpealidocious backwards which she did. but she didn't respond too kindly when i asked her to spell it backwards.

:lmao: i bet !!!

we have been to the dinner at park fare and had a great time.....the food was fab

We have done the breakfast and it is one of my favorites :thumbsup2 The food is yummy...they have a bread pudding with a vanilla sauce that is soooo good. Last year Alice in Wonderland, the Mad Hatter, Pooh, Tigger and Mary Poppins were all in attendance. We are doing it again this year.

We did not like it at all but maybe that is because we went at 10:30 am and we usually like to go very early (this was our check out date so we wanted to sleep in).

The place was a mad house, people everywhere and it was super loud. Mary P was in the lobby, Alice in Wonderland, Mad Hatter, Tigger and Pooh were there and the only character that came to us was Alice. We tried to get the attention of our MIA waitress to see the other characters but we were outta luck. The food was horrible...there was only one egg station and the line was huge. The food on the buffet was obviously sitting for a while because it was all hard and dried out and no one was doing anything to replace it.

Be aware that 1900 Park Fare is currently undergoing rehab and during the rehab the character meals are being held in the GF Cafe. During this time, rather than a buffet, the food is pre-plated. Rehab is scheduled through October 1.

As for 1900 Park Fare under normal operating circumstances, I think it's the best breakfast buffet on property. Great variety of foods, always hot and fresh (at least when we've been, and we've had seating times at 8 am and 11 am), omlettes made to order, the strawberry soup is to die for.....I could go on. I also like the characters. They have a lot of "face characters" (Alice, Mary, Mad Hatter) and they are a lot of fun to converse and interact with. The Mad Hatter is a hoot.

The dinner buffet is excellent as well.

We did this breakfast on our recent trip. The characters that were there were: Tigger, Winnie THe Pooh, Mad Hatter, Alice, and Mary Poppins. It was a great meal. They spent awhile with my DD, they came around a few times. The only other meal that we saw Mary Poppins at was Akershus (Epcot).

I just saw this thread and didn't want to hijack it, but is this a good place for dinner? We are already going to be eating CRT for breakfast one day so I was curious about dinner. Any thoughts?:confused3

Amen sista! That bread pudding is worth the cost of the breakfast alone.

This is one of my must do character meals. Mary Poppins is always wonderful and Bert was even there the first time we visited! The quality of food is delicious and the atmosphere is just magical!

We all love 1900 Park Fare. We would never miss breakfast there. We enjoy the fact that it isnt as manic as Crystal Palace and it knocks spots off the food too!

The dinner buffet at 1900 Park Fare is our family's absolute favorite. The food is excellent and the characters are wonderful! It's too bad that it's been moved for refurb. From what we were told- it's not a buffet right now...food is pre-plated.
We passed on eating there this time around due to the refurb but will definitely be eating there on our next visit!
