I also think two options on a kids menu is not really sufficient. My DD will be fine with it, she'd eat either of those, but there still should be at least one more choice. Hopefully they'll add something.

menu choice is ok for us, as DD5 can share some of mine if she is fed up with chicken strips! - she eats like a mouse anyway

I am thinking of canceling too. The GF Cafe menu does not sound comparable to the quality of food that was on the buffet. The kids choices are very limited. The adult apps don't sound great either. My kids won't eat the cut veggies app either. Why not a cup of soup or something?

I think I may cancel also. My whole point in booking this Princess meal as opposed to CRT was that this was a buffet. The preplated meals don't typically appeal to me. I know it may be early to decide this but the sample of the menu that was posted doesn't look all that appetizing. Oh well!

Does anyone know what changes the refurb will bring? We loved the character dinner with Cinderella and thought it was the best buffet we've had. I hope they don't do away with it altogether...

And on a counter-point, does anyone know when the refurbishment/renovation will be finished? We've got an ADR for early December, and I *think* I saw on wdwinfo or mousesavers that it would be back to the original restaurant, with a buffet, by that time.

According to allearsnet.com, 1900 Park Faire is scheduled to reopen on October 2, so you should be fine.

subscribing. With the current menu posted I think I am the only one in my family who will like that menu. I really don't want to change though!

I am subscribing as well. We are going for breakfast on 8/11/07. I really didn't think about it till I started reading here. I was thinking they just "moved" the charcter meal to GFC. I didn't realize they changed the menu also. I thought it was still a buffet. I am wrong???? If what I saw on the menu for breakfast is as expensive as I think it is........ I may cancel.

It's still a one price meal as it always was. There is no buffet though. I think breakfast is still all you care to eat, like CRT and Akershus breakfasts. I can't recall the menu for breakfast, sorry. If you call Disney Dining they can tell you what's being served.

I was searching for info or a review since the change began on another board. I couldn't find anything, but I did see where someone said that even though it is a preplated meal, it will still be all you can eat. So if you want more strawberry soup you can get it. I'll be VERY interested to find out if this is true.

Can you tell me what this strawberry soup is like? It sounds interesting, but is it something that would seem more like dessert? Is it warm or cold? I'd love to hear more about it since I might try it when we go on 9/3. Thanks!
