Okay we leave in about a week and I still haven't tied down this one evening. We will be taking a day off form the parks. We are meeting some friends form Ohana breakfast and plan to swim and do some shopping in Downtown Disney for the rest of the day.

I currently have dinner reservations at 6 pm for 1900 Park Fare. We choose this restaurant for 2 reasons: 1. We love the step sisters @. We haven't bee before.

Here is where my conflict lies. We have never been to the campfire at Fort Wilderness and it is free. We would grab something to at a counter service to eat.

I have to decide before we go because we are on the dining plan and I have to pay out of pocket for the first meal we go to as we are one over- if we go to 1900 Park Fare!

Here are our other meals (and yes I know it is mostly character meals):
Sci-Fi
Ohana Breakfast
Princess Storybook Breakfast
Garden Grille
Chef Mickeys
Cinderella's Royal Table

Everything else is cemented and a favorite or a special request!

HMMM, tough decision. Since you love the stepsisters I wanna say go w/ 1900 cuz they are SUCH a hoot! BUT i'm not relaly crazy about the food for the price and since you're doing CRT already, AND since i love the FW movies- I woudl say go to the movie. Thoguh i'm not entirely sure you can't do both- depending on what time the movie starts that night? It's winter so it prob starts earlier than the last time we went in the summer.... i assuem u have the time already though.
Also, ahve u checked to see which movie is showing that night??? If you check and it's not one that you'd care to see- then that might answer your dilemma.

My kids won't be able to do both considering this is supposed to be our down day. Its a movie we haven't seen- Sword in the Stone

*Disclaimer* I think that I might be the official DIS 1900 Park Fare Cheerleader.:cheer2:

If it were me, I would keep it. This is based soley on the fact that you have said how much you enjoy the step-sisters. The step-sisters make this character meal. They are hilarious. I also *love* the food. I've never been disappointed here. We just do not miss this dinner.

Having said that, I totally understand your circumstance. Good luck!

Well Sword in the stone is my FAVORITE but if you haven't watched it growing up, might be kinda boring actually. I love it- but i think it's cuz i've seen it 1000 times! :-)

Stick w/ the 1900 park fare. Paying oop for 1 meal isn't all that bad. Just be srue to pay oop for the one that is the cheapest! Which of yours is prob ohana breakfast, but i'm not positive. DEF use your TS credit at 1900 park fare!

i have this same issue! were paying oop for Ohanas breakfast because its the cheapest meal and we got a disney giftcard so we were able to add 1900 park faire

im going specifically for the step sisters :woohoo:

How did you find out what is showing that night? Because we were thinking about trying the campfire out also.

Leave it. It was our least favorite character meal. Loud, chaotic, and we practically had to drag Prince Charming to the table. When he finally came over, he had an attitude. Would never have waited if the little pricesses hadn't wanted to see him. The stepsisters were great though!

If you're going to be at DTD all day, why not just grab something to eat over there before you head back? There are plenty of options.

Pick up some sandwiches as EArl of Sandwich and head over to the movie. A great family night, more relaxing. While personally I love 1900 Park Fare dinner buffet, DGS still talks about the outdoor movie at FW.

1900 was our last meal of our trip and ended up being one of our favorite character meals (DH's favorite). The food was good , but the "show" that the step mother and sisters put on was outstanding...they totally made the meal! And the more you interact with them the more the show off.

Leave it, while the character interaction is great the food is terrible

I've decided to give it up! I am a bit of a type A and I am truly going to let loose on this day. Bring on the spontaneity!

I think we have enough character meals and I gave them the choice of ditching the castle and they wanted to keep the castle. We'll take the $70 difference between 1900 Park Fare and a counter service and do something special.
It is on our the top of our list for our next trip though!
