I have a 6:10 reservation for 1900 Park Fare on Mother's Day, which is our arrival day.

My plan was to go to MK and park/ get in etc. and then take the monorail or boat to GF for dinner. Any idea how long this will take?

I was thinking maybe arrive by 5:00 and I would be able to get to dinner in time?

Then I was wondering how long the actual dinner should take? My ADR is for 6:10 and I was hoping to be back at MK to stake out a spot for the Main Street Electrical Parade by 8:15 ish since it starts at 9.

Is this doable?

What would be faster/less stressful with three kids- drive to GF, leave after dinner, drive to MK & park and get in and get a spot for the parade by 8:15 or my first plan?

Thanks so much! I am so lost... I have fallen into the depths of Disney insanity lately. :goodvibes

I would allow 30 min from the time you leave MK. Sometimes when you just miss the boat it could take another 20 min til another shows. The monorail needs to do 3 stops (CR, TTC & POLY) before it'll get you to GF but they run more frequently.

Two hours should be adequate under normal circumstances, however you need to take into account how much time you may end up waiting especially with it being Mother's Day. Even though your ADR is at 6:10 you may not be seated until later than that. We've waited a good 1/2 hr or soon a regular night for many dinner meals even with an ADR. So it's tough to say. If you sit by 6:45 you should still be in good shape but closer to 7:00 or so you may have to rush through a bit a risk not seeing all the characters. The good thing about a buffet is you can pace it quicker if you need to as long as seeing all the characters isn't a priority.

The good thing is you're just one stop from MK off the monorail so you can get back there pretty quickly.

I would recommend parking at the TTC, then taking the Resort monorail to the Grand Floridian .

If you're not arriving until 5, there's no point in going over to the MK and "get in, etc." because by the time you take the ferry or MK monorail, get through security and through the turnstiles, it'll probably be 5:30 and you'll have to turn around and head to the GF anyway.

Sorry, I don't know what TTC is? Do you think driving would be faster or the monorail from there? Then what about after dinner to MK to make it to the parade?

I'm wondering if we should do 1900 Park Fare another night?

The TTC is the ticket and transportation center. It is the MK parking lot and the monorail station to MK, the resorts, and to Epcot. You have to park there to go to the Magic Kingdom.
