I am thinking of doing our first character meal BREAKFAST on one of our MK Days. We are already doing CP for dinner (another day), so I think we will have BF at one of the MK resort hotels (Chef Mickey's, Ohana's or 1900) before entering the park. We have seen Mickey & Friends numerous times, but have never seen Mary Poppins, Alice, Lilo or Stitch. Looking at the menus, I think we would prefer a buffet over a family style meal. I also like that you have made to order eggs instead of just the usual scrambled at 1900. But I don't remember ever hearing much about this meal, which makes me a little nervous.
So, who has been to 1900 Park Fare BF and can tell me about the meal (food, characters and service)? Thanks in advance!

We've gone to this breakfast many times and always take friends/family with us. No one has been disappointed in this breakfast and many have asked to go here again. We think it is a fantastic breakfast. We've seen Pooh characters, Mary Poppins, Bert, Alice and the Mad Hatter. It has not been unusual to see them twice during breakfast.

1900 Park Fare was one of the best breakfasts I've ever had at WDW- if not the best. The food was delicous and the selection was fantastic. Characters were great too. Mary Poppins was in the lobby and Alice, Mad Hatter, Pooh and Rabbit were in the dining room. I definatly recommend it.

This is the best breakfast on Disney prop. We have also seen Pinokio and Gepetto. The omlets are the best. :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

1900 has a great breakfast my friends, family and I go every trip. The strawberry soup and the omelets are awesome!! No one has ever had a complaint there.

We went during December and took a day off from the parks to tour the hotels and look at the decorations. I scheduled the last breakfast seating at 1900 Park Fare and we surprised the kids. This way get got some character time in even though we didn't go to the parks. We used the breakfast as our lunch that day. Anyways, being at the last seating meant that we were some of the last people in the restaurant. The place was practically empty by the time we left and we had the characters all to ourself! We got a picture of the girls with Alice, the Mad Hatter, Pooh and Tigger all together. They were sort of hanging out at our table because there wasn't anyone else to entertain. We wouldn't have had that opportunity at an earlier seating.

Ditto Buckler ! We had a lovely late breakfast there! I was concerned that the food would no longer be fresh, but it was delicious and the character interaction was fabulous.

Thanks for all the replies! Wow, it sounds like a good choice. My only question is, I thought it was Mary Poppins, Alice and the Mad Hatter. Do they have Pooh there as well? I am already planning on CP with the Pooh characters

We did this in March, as my oldest dd was turning 5 that day and her birthday wish was to meet Mary Poppins!! Oh to see her face when she finally got to meet her ... it was so awesome. She couldn't stop smiling and could hardly answer Mary's questions. My littlest one is 2.5 yrs and was equally enthralled. It was such an awesome moment!!

We also met Tigger, Pooh, Alice and the Mad Hatter. Tigger was scary to my little one, but was so good at keeping his distance. He did take the napkin and buff my father's head, which is bald. My girls got a good laugh over this! Pooh was at the table when they brought Julia her cupcake and everyone in our room sang to her, which she was just enjoying so much :) Alice was wonderful, especially to Olivia, who I think thought it was Cinderella at first (she's still figuring them all out ;) ). Alice got right down with her and they chatted for quite a long time. We found the character interaction to be wonderful. We got to see everyone at least twice and for good visits each time.

Oh and the food is AWESOME!! We had a lovely meal and were very happy with it. It made Chef Mickey's (a few days later) seem not so great in comparison!

Have fun ....

Kerri
