We went to 1900 Park Fare for breakfast last week. Had an 8:05am reservation. We were really disappointed with the experience.

The lobby became extremely crowded as people were waiting for them to open the doors (which did not happen until about 8:10). Then, there was something similar to a stampede as people tried to get inside. Very disorganized.

The hostess was walking around from table to table shouting that it was someone's birthday and then leading the room in singing happy birthday to them. This happened at least 20 times (not exaggerating). I am not sure whether people were making up birthdays or approximating, but it is hard to believe that many people had birthdays. This was so noisy that it made any conversation or even interaction with the characters difficult.

The food was really not good. The buffet line was very very slow (contrast to Boma which is fast, efficient, and has good food). kids were touching food, putting it back, etc. Generally this was not sanitary and gross.

The room was loud, hectic and crazy. Now, I expect a degree of this at a character meal, but others have been nowhere near this bad (crt, norway, cape may all much better).

The characters were pretty good and mad hatter, in particular, was very funny.

We will definitely not be back.

so sorry to hear that. we have upcoming resv for dinner and for breakfast. I'll post back my experience when we return. wish me luck

I agree 100%! We went for breakfast and it was a nightmare, totally disorganized, seated well past our ADR, very loud and chaotic and the food was horrid.

We tried dinner and it was worse if you can fathom that

Wow what a bummer. We love 1900 Park Fare but then again, we have not eaten breakfast there in a couple of years at least (have been doing dinner lately for the stepsister thing). I made a breakfast there for next month and am now kinda wondering.

I have been reading some not so great reviews of this place and am wondering if I should try to change to something else!

Sorry that happened to you.:sad2:

After all the negative reviews I've been reading about the noise and the food quality, I'm really rethinking our breakfast ADR in November. The main reason I booked it is because DGD has her heart set on seeing Alice and there's no other breakfast available with Alice and Mary Poppins present that I'm aware of, I just don't want to disappoint her.

You know I did a search last night after I posted on this and there are still good reviews to be found on 1900. I am keeping my reservation, my dd loves Alice, my son loves their food (its one of only a few buffets where they have an omlette station and will make him fried eggs) and we have so many great experiences here over the past 6 years I am going to just go with an open mind and hope we have our usual great food and great time.

It is noisy in there but its never been so noisy for us we had a problem with it. I will also say we always do a late ADR here for breakfast and that may help. Its generally not packed full when we go. I find if we eat early, its more hectic regardless of which buffet we do.

I hate it when I have an ADR somewhere and read horrible reviews. Stop confusing me people!!! :lmao:

We just went last week and had a wonderful experience. We had dinner there our first night and breakfast there our last morning. Both meals were alot of fun, the food was great and the character interaction was priceless. We found that the characters took their time at each table, no one rushed anyone to leave. :goodvibes
The lobby was a bit chaotic, but once you got past that it was fine. (we skipped the picture line both times).

It is rather noisy, but it's full of kids excited to see characters. It's not Flying Fish or Narcoossee's. So I think if you go in knowing that, you'll be fine. You kind of just have to "jump in the fun" and kind of just go with it. You've got kids going crazy over seeing their favorite characters....there's alot of happiness !!

Just my opinion, but we'll go back for sure !!! ;)

Well, I'm going to keep our ADR even though I thought (for a little while) about canceling. I know that there are always good and bad reviews of every restaurant. We have an 8 a.m. ADR before a day at the MK and DGD does so want to wear her Alice dress to the breakfast. Thanks for telling me something good about it. :)

Happy kids are a good thing and if that's what causes all the noise, I'm ok with that. :) I was going to ask about the picture that they take, so you can skip the line entirely if you choose?

We have been twice for breakfast and it was bad and second time was worse--- food was cold and nasty. no one was cleaning up buffett as people just drop food etc. my niece was with us and she is 4 and the wicked step sister scared her to death. Now i agree a "little" scare OK but this step sister kept coming back to our table and my niece was crying by second time and sitting on her Mothers lap and the step sister again tried to touch her and I went and got a CM as this was past the point of overboard and bothering other diners as well so we will never be back there:scared1:

I have read alot of disappointed reviews for this one, so event though we are staying at the GF I decided Chef Mickey's and Crystal Palace for the two Character Meals in March...

We ate at 1900 PF for breakfast in Dec. 09 and we loved it! The bacon was the best we've ever had on property, the pecan buns melted in your mouth, the strawberry soup was delicious, and the made to order omelettes were great!

Sorry you had such a bad experience. :sad2:

We did....the were kind of "corraling" people into the line for a pic in front of a mural. :confused3 I seriously couldn't justify $30 for a picture in front of a mural...and not really a good one either ! :lmao:

We just told them we weren't interested in getting the picture, so they gave us a pager that blinked when your reservation was ready. We just went outside and sat in the quiet till our reservation was ready.

I know! I'm going to keep what I have now, no matter what, I'm done second guessing myself and changing ADRs.

Me too! I understand that there will be bad experiences, but honestly, every single Disney restaurant gets this. A lot of the people who posted bad reviews on 1900, posted great reviews on places other people hate.

I have been there at least six or seven times and never had a bad meal. In fact, its always been one of our favorites. I am going to go with my gut and stick with it, besides there's nothing else available the day we go except Hollywood and Vine and I think my two teenagers would not be happy with that character roster!

Yep, I'm sticking with it too. I know that DGD will love it, and we have plenty of other more "adult" ADRs so this one's really for her. None of us are super picky eaters anyway, so I'm sure it'll be fine and we'll enjoy the experience.

Thanks. I know that we're not going to want the picture so I'm glad that we won't be forced to have it taken.

We were on the deluxe dining plan. We ate 18 ts meals. We loved all of them, but 1900 fare. I'm not fussy and I never complain, but the food was unedible. I've never had food that bad at a restaurant.

Was that breakfast or dinner?
