Just made reservations for two (anniversary trip) for Park Fare Character Breakfast - I asked to confirm the price, and was told it's $24.99. Wasn't it recently $18.99?? I'm questioning if it is 'worth' $25 as we will be two adults and I've read the characters often 'skip' by the adults to spend more attention on the kids...thoughts and comments welcome!

You are probably going during the seasonal times when they jack up the buffet prices by $5.00 per person.

well they do change prices during certain times! I am not sure about the times, others may be able to share the dates, I am sure some of those times that the prices are Jacked up are during the holidays what a shame I hope that they add some special items on the buffet or some special costumes since they have special prices this would make it easier to fork out the extra money!

We paid those darn holiday prices for a week last December. They don't add anything. The food's the same, restaurants are full and the only difference is that you're paying more money than you would have a week earlier.

OP, we are a party of 2 adults too and have never been overlooked by the characters. We've done Park Fare once and I wouldn't pay $24.99 for it but that's just my personal opinion :)

We will be there two weeks before Thanksgiving - that shouldn't be the busy season :confused3

We ate breakfast there on September 3rd, and although the prices are steep, I will only tell you that we left stuffed, and didn't need to eat til 5 hours later.

There was a carafe of coffee on the table, and I also had tea(many choices.)

Fresh cut pineapple and melons, grapes...sausage, bacon, scrambled eggs, made to order omlettes, french toast, mini waffles, (with several syrups) bagel station w/ toasters, salmon, and spreads.

I think there was cereal and bread pudding, know there was strawberry soup and ice cream available. I am sure there was more, but there was plenty!:cutie:

It is a splurge, and this was our first ever breakfast that we did...our last morning... in lieu of going to a park, and we had a lot of fun with the mad hatter, bouncing with Tigger, and learning that Alice was 12.

All the other mornings we ate muffins and cereal in our room, but if you want a breakfast that is a meal and event, it's not too bad of a deal.:flower3:

Hmmm according to the pricing post I was given the wrong rate by the res CM. Glad I didn't cancel based on the $25 price, thank you DisneyDine!

This is great information. Do you know if all the buffet prices will be going up?? We have several booked - specifically: Chef Mickey's, Boma, Crystal Palace and Trails End.

Thanks!

Yes, all of those buffets you listed are subject to the Holiday pricing.

The best way to avoid paying the extra money, get the Dining Plan. The price of the Dining Plan is constant. A family of 2A and 2C would a pay $96 a night for the Dining Plan.

During the Holiday season that family will pay $83 including taxes to have Breakfast at 1900 Park Fare. So for $13 more the family would get 4 snacks, 2A CS meals and 2C CS meals, a bargain.

If the family chose dinner instead of lunch that meal would cost more than the DP would on that day: $115.

In the past the meals have gone up about $4 for Adults and $2 for Children during these peak times. Doing some quick math will help determine if fewer meals or the DP makes budger sense for a family.

Thanks! But actually I was talking about this:

That would be a price increase for the non-holiday dining as well. I have my trip set to a specific budget and I may need to make some adjustments if this is the case.

Thanks!

Those prices are for 1900 Park Fare, you'll have to check for the places you want. Check the specific menus here in DIS on at allears.net for current prices. Last year it seemed that Adults prices rose $4 and Child $2 during the Holiday period. The following is from allears.net:

-- Boma
-- Cape May Cafe
-- Chef Mickey's
-- Cinderella's Royal Table
-- Crystal Palace
-- Garden Grill
-- Hollywood and Vine
-- Liberty Tree Tavern (dinner only)
-- 'Ohana
-- Trails End
-- Tusker House

Upcoming peak times that will see the seasonal price increases are:
November 22 - November 29, 2008
December 16, 2008 - January 3, 2009
