Hi, we will be in WDW in Oct and I am changing my adrs around so many times!! We were originally doing a breakfast at Ohanas but decided to cancel it due the the bad review on the dis unplugged. We were going to do Chef Mickeys instead but alas, no vacancies! So we have booked 1900 Park Fare breakfast....Just a quick question though, we are both 28 (twins) and my sister is worried that we are too old for character dining. What is the character interaction like as we are really just going for the food;) Do they sort of just do quick stops with the adults and concentrate on the kids? Also, what is the food like and is it worth doing breakfast at 0820 and then going over to the studios to do toy story mania or will we be too late by then to get fast passes? Hope someone can give me some advise thanks heaps:goodvibes

First I will tell you to go over to Toy Story Mania asap. I was there last month and we got there around 10:00 am and the fast passes for toy story mania were up to something like 9:00pm. Unfortunately we had to pass because we had a ADR.
Next 1900 Park Fare is a great breakfast to go too. The characters
do stop by every table, you will have fun with them. My family happens to really like the food there, and make sure we go there every visit.

The poster above me answered the Toy Story Mania question....

As for the character dining......I have seen many adults attending with no children. The character will come to your table and take pics and sign your autograph book too. Just make sure you have your camera and book out so they know your interested.

Your NEVER too old for character dining. :wizard:

We love 1900 Park so much less crowded than Chef Mickey's and a larger selection of food compared to any other breakfast. Give it a try.

I went to 1900 Park Fare with my at the time boyfriend. He was not as big of a disney nut as I am and he was completely comfortable.

The characters will come by to pose for photos if you want. You can politely decline if you don't. They are not very intrusive.

It's one of two character meals that my DH will go to - we love it! Alice and the Mad Hatter are so funny.

We've never been to it with kids and always feel very comfortable. I think the food is pretty darn good, too.

DH and I did 1900 PF, late ressie around 10:15am, the place was a super mad house, the noise level was insane, they stuck us at this tiny little 2 top table wedged between 2 other huge tables and the kicker is, the food was horrible.

I would go to Boma instead, or Kona

We just went there last week.

The breakfast buffet is pretty good; however, it's not really worth the price unless you want those characters. And you will have a serious problem getting onto Toy Story if you arrive as late as you'll arrive. As others have said numerous times, the FPs for Toy Story will probably be gone by the time you get there, and I would expect that standby would be up to about 60 or more minutes if you arrive at the park after about 10:30 or so.

I think the breakfast at 1900 PF is the best on property. Alice & Co. will interact with you minimally if you prefer(i.e., they won't make a big scene or embarass you). :earsboy:

We did the Park Fare breakfast and found the food quite good. There is an omelet chef who will make yours to your preference. There was bacon, sausage, hot cereals, Mickey wafles, french toast - a slew of great jellies and marmalades for the toast. More things like fruit, scrambled eggs - probably forgetting somethings. So what's not to like!
