Hi! I hope this is the right board and that someone can offer some help please!

My sister is currently at WDW (I’m very jealous but counting down until Feb for my family) and she has a breakfast reservation for her family at 1900 PF. They want to go to MK after and they will be driving from their off site accommodation. She knows she can park at GF whilst she dines but presumably she needs to move her car before entering MK? Initial research I have done for her has brought up stories of towing vehicles away!

TIA!

She can park while dining, but needs to move the car after. Or she can pay for valet and leave it there.

She can also just park at the TTC, then take the monorail to GF then over to the MK after.

That's great, thank you. Why is it that paying for valet parking makes it okay to stay (simply asking out of interest)? Is it because it is a higher price or is it because the car will be parked in a different location therefore not taking up regular spots for resort guests?

Both reasons.

When you valet park, you are paying for the whole day and the car is parked in a separate area (at least it was in a separate area at the deluxe I used to work at.)

When you self park for an ADR, it is free. If you could keep it there all day, everyone would just leave their cars there after their ADRs and there wouldn’t be parking for the hotel’s overnight guests (who are now actually paying a daily fee to self park.)

Got it, thanks. Final question (!), should my sister declare her intentions to park for 1900 PF and then visit the MK when turning her keys over to valet park?

To my knowledge, they don’t need to know what you’re doing when you valet park. I’ll let others weigh in on that to be sure!

Valet is a tipped position. They don't care. ;)

And from what I've heard, it's unusual for valet to fill up like the self park does. If it started filling to capacity, then you'd see some adjustment.
