Hello

We have made a 4:30 reservation here for dinner with Cinderella and her friends. Has anyone done this? How was your experience? My DD, almost 3, is very excited about seeing her and I am excited for her!! :Pinkbounc

What is the dress like? Is it a dressy restaurant or fairly casual? What is the service like? Is there a good selection? Is there somewhere I could slip off to if my little DD, 6 mos, needs to nurse? Are we allowed to look around at the resort a bit as we are staying offsite?

Thank you so much !

I love 1900 Park Fare. The dress is casual...shorts and tops. It's a buffet and I think it's pretty decent.

I'm sure you'll have a wonderful time!:wave2:

We tried dinner here for the first time a few weeks ago. We were celebrating my dd's 3rd bday and just like your dd she adores Cinderella.
We enjoy the atmosphere of 1900 Park Fare. We have done breakfast a handful of times. This is one of my favorite buffets for breakfast and lunch. The kids are given much more variety than at any other buffet that I can recall.
My dd was in heaven. She had her Cinderella costume on (as well as most of the other little princessesprincess: ) I do have to say that the interaction between Cinderella wasn't very impressive, but I think that can be hit or miss (the Cinderella in Toon Town was great). Prince Charming was very good. My dd wanted nothing to do with Suzy and Perla, they still scare her.
We dressed in nice casual clothes. There are a couple of different seating areas. There is one in the back where you might feel more comfortable nursing during the meal or there is an area outside the restaurant with rocking chairs.
Yes you are allowed to look around the resort. That's half the fun! Have a great time.

We also loved 1900 Park Fare. The food was bountiful and everyone found something to their liking. They have lots of choices for the children and being a buffet they could eat as much of their favorite stuff as they want. They are also permitted to eat off the adults buffet. The character interaction was great! We had several characters sit down and join us at the table!! We had only one bad experience with one the mice from Cinderella (sorry I can't remember their names). She came over and rubbed my DH's head with a napkin (he's bald) and his poor old head was extremely sunburned. I really thought he was going to pass out!!! He took it in fun and I was impressed he remembered we were at WDW and watched his vocabulary!!!

You will have a great meal and a good time at 1900 Park Fare. Do take time to look over the resort. It's beautiful!!!

How are desserts at the dinner buffet? I've heard it's rice krispie treats and that just doesn't sound right for GF.

We've eaten here a couple of times. I find the dinner good...not great, just good. I personally prefer the breakfast buffet here more.
But, the cold strawberry soup is excellent! Also, the bread pudding with vanilla sauce...and yes, even the rice krispie treats are very good! The buffet dinner for kids is very good.
Atmosphere is wonderful....and you can be very casual! Enjoy it!

My family ate dinner here for the first time on our trip in Oct. We loved it, also. It is a beautiful restaurant in a beautiful hotel (our first time visiting Grand Floridian, as well). Our daughters enjoyed riding the glass elevator. They stood in line to meet the Fairy Godmother in the hall outside of the restaurant, and she was great. We had PS but were about 10 minutes late (Beware, it takes a long time to park and walk from visitors' parking. Next time we will valet park, it's well worth it). Still, we only waited about 10 -15 minutes which was perfect, by the time the girls finished up with the Fairy Godmother it was only a 5 minute wait.
As I said, the restaurant is beautiful. We were seated in the back room, and I worried about character interaction back there. However, we had great interaction with Suzy and Perla (they visited several times each) and Prince Charming, who visited once but made it count. Cinderella was another story. We were finished with our dinner and ready to leave, and still no sign of her. A family seated near us had asked the waitress earlier if she could send her around, and now we asked as well. She assured us she would do her best, but it was still another 10 minutes wait. Finally she came, and, although pleasant enough, she seemed very rushed. Still, my girls didn't mind and we left happy.
My Dds wanted to ride the elevator down again, and then we lingered a few minutes to listen to the chamber music in the lobby. Since the timing was about right, we decided to hop on the monorail for a couple loops around and see if we could catch the MK fireworks, which we did. All in all, a very nice night.
Oh, we thought the food was very good, the best of any character buffet we have eaten at.

I seem to be in the minority. We have tried this restaurant three times. We (5 of us) disliked it very much. We eat breakfast and dinner out every day at a sit down dinner and would never go here again. I hope that you don't have the same experience.

We loved seeing all the Cinderella characters and we also felt that Prince Charming was wonderful. The buffet IMO was just OK, not my favorite meal at WDW, but the bread pudding was yummy. That being said, we did have a great time and lot's of great pictures too!:D
