Please tell me which you one like best, and, if you don't mind....why? We're trying to finalize a dinner for September ADR's, and can't decide.

Thanks!

okay, it wouldn't be fair to comment on Crystal Palace, as I have not had the food...but, that being said, I think it depends on if who the characters are is important to you, you would need to take that into consideration for each place

Crystal Palace - Pooh and friends, I have heard this is good buffet food

Chef Mickey's - Mickey and friends - loved the characters, didn't care for the food

1900 Park Faire - Cinderella and guests - loved the characters, the food wasn't amazing, but we would definitely eat there again

Hope that helps! Have a great trip and meal - whatever you decide! :wizard:

We ate at the Crystal Palace for dinner and thought the food was very good. There was a very wide range of options, definitely something for everyone. My only problem was that it seemed loud because of the silverware hitting the very hard tables.

This is how I rate them:

#1 - 1900 Park Fare - food ok, character interaction excellent - the Stepmther and Stepsisters played off each other well the night we were there.

#2 - Chef Mickey's - liked the food better here, but the characters seemed to rush through.

#3 - Cyrstal Palace - not impressed by the food at breakfast or dinner and the characters can take awhile to get to your table. We have finished our meal and left after only seeing one character, they were that slow. As noted previously this place is loud.

But hey, the kids don't go for the food they want to see the characters.

Have fun choosing!

We eat at all three last week. Here are our rankings, dd13 and dd10, dh and I....

1900 Park Faire: We will not eat here again. The food was mediocre at best. There were not as many offerings as other places. You really need to head back to your resort and dress for dinner. I did not feel comfortable in jean capris and a t-shirt. My husband was very uncomfortable in khaki shorts and a tee. Character interaction was good, but frankly not good enough to overshadow the food and our uncomfortableness in park attire. :(

Chef Mickeys: The character interaction was very good. The characters came around in a speedy fashion and the spacing between tables was decent. The food was okay, not fantastic, but okay. We were perfectly comfortable in park attire and service was good. I would say the food is not reason enough to return, but if you wnat to see the characters in a speedy fashion and avoid autograph lines in the parks, it's a great place to do so.

Crystal Palace: Character interaction is great here, but they do tend to come at a much slower pace than at Chef Mickeys. The tables seem to be slightly closer together, but not quite enough to disturb us and I hate being crowded. The food was quite good and there were several offerings. We were most comfortable here in park attire and I would assume this is because the restaurant is in a park. ;) We all agree the Crystal Palace is a must do for us. We enjoy it very much.

We did all of these in one week, which was a mistake. Three buffets in a week and all of it starts to be unappealing. In the futre we will pick just one and it will definitely be Crystal Palace. I hope this helps. I fyou have any questions, feel free to ask.

We have eaten at all 3. We have dinner at Chef Mickey and Crystal Palace every trip, but 1900 only once. We enjoyed the character interaction at 1900,but not overly impressed with the food choices--just not our kind of food. I love Crystal Palace, but if pressed to choose only one I would definitely go with CHEF MICKEY's.

My only problem was that it seemed loud because of the silverware hitting the very hard tables.

I loved this quote. It's not loud because of the character interaction, or all the very young kids crying, or the people bustling around the buffet...but the silverware is loud. We are going there in 2 weeks and I can't wait to check this out!

We did all three during our December trip.

I would put Chef Mickey's and 1900 Park Fare on par w/ each other. Both had great food (we loved the selections at both of them) and EXCELLENT character interaction.

Crystal Palace was a HUGE disappointment to us. The food wasn't bad, and the character interaction was okay... but nothing spectacular on either front. We were there for dinner.

We ate at FIVE character meals during our stay (Hollywood & Vine and Akershus in addition to the three already mentioned) and I would rank Crystal Palace last out of all of them!

Please pick another place. We ate there Christmas night and it was horrible. I will give them a little slack because of the holiday but it was not worth one penny. Many, many people were complaining. The new buffet just was a bunch of salads in various versions and a few dishes from each country. The prime rib was being fried since it was so rare. I called the manager three times to express my concerns and never was the call returned.

My family and I will never go back again while this particular buffet is running.

CP has always been fantastic, CM was terrible for food but great on character interaction
