Ok, I just posted that I cancelled CRT for 1900 Park Fair, tell me...is it good? How are the characters??? Will my daughter enjoy it? Thanks!

We just got back from Orlando yesterday and ate at 1900 PF last week. Didn't like it. The characters we saw were Cinderella, Prince Charming, the Fairy Godmother, and two mice. Prince Charming missed our table, but if it mattered to us we would have mentioned it to the server and I'm sure she would have rectified that.

If your daughter is a diehard Cinderella fan, it may be worthwhile, but the food was poor. Our kids didn't even like the mac and cheese. The "prime rib" served on my plate was a slab of fat.

The princess storybook breakfast that we had in Norway two years ago was much better for character interaction and food. Also, we had a wonderful evening at Chef Mickey's on this last trip.

Good luck!
Tom

I'm sorry Tom had a bad experience. We are eating here too in December. Look up 1900 Park Fare in searches and there are numerous positive reviews as well. I always like to hear how someone likes something, but reviews are subjective and we can only hope for the best!

i think you'll love it. we did. DH actually had the prime rib and LOVED it. in fact that is the one thing he kept talking about. we thought the food quality here was better than any other character meal we had. we didn't do CRT, but we did do Crystal Palace and Chef Mickey. DD's loved the characters, and we had really good interaction from them. when we were there they weren't rushed at all.

ENJOY!!

1900 Park Fare was my fave place to eat last time we went to WDW in Dec 04.
We are definately going back this Oct, too. DH even mentioned wanting to go twice here in Oct (once for our anniversary and again the night before we leave).
I thought the food was tasty. The character interaction was great (everyone came around twice to our table).

I think you'll enjoy it.

I just booked 1900 Park Fair Character dinner, my concern was character interaction. I just printed out the menu from allearsnet, and noticed that it says that some characters only take photos in the lobby. I hope that Cinderella is the one that circulates around the tables. Can anyone verify this? My Dd3 would be disappointed if we didn't get a little interaction with her.

We went in Sept and Cinderella came around to the tables. We went for dinner around 7:30 and had great character interaction.I have been here a few times and always enjoyed the food. This was my first trip with kids and I thought the characters were the best here. My daughter-3 loved the 2 mice from cinderella, she is still talking about them. They tormented my 16 yr old nephew by coming over and over to him and hugging and kissing him, it has made for a great blackmail photo for my sister to get him to do what she asks or she will show his friends!!!Prince charming and cindy were great too. The fairy godmother was only outside the restaurant and goofy was outside too.

Has anyone ever gone there for the Mary Poppins breakfast? We will be in WDW 8/11-817. For one morning we have booked a character breakfast with Mary Poppins there. I hope that wasn't a mistake. We are going there mainly for Mary Poppins. Hope it's not a let down. My dd (who turns 4 while we're there) is a big Mary Poppins as well as the princesses. This was mainly for her.

we just got bk and did the 1900 breakfast...best food we had all wk...we mainly did a lot of counter service places.

we loved it, Mary was in the lobby of the entrance to the restaurant so you could get her pic right there...we saw White Rabbit, Tigger, Pooh, Mad Hatter (loved him & his character best), Alice, can't remember who else...everyone (family of 9) wished we had done these a whole lot more...it's a cool place to see characters and get their autos

we did dinner and breakfast here and although we loved the dinner, i think we preferred breakfast. DH and i LOVED mary poppins. she was in the lobby. and DD's LOVED, LOVED mad hatter. he was very funny, and spent quite a bit of time at all the tables. we also met Alice in Wonderland, Pooh and Tigger. the food was great and the character interaction was the best we had all week. you won't be disappointed!

You have all made me feel a lot better about the breakfast there. Thanks alot

On our last trip, we ate breakfast there while the kids were doing one of the GF's Grand Adventures. We had a wonderful time with all the characters and the food is always good. This was our first character meal with out the kids! We recieved just as much attention as all the families with children. We have had dinner there several times and we always enjoy it! We will definately be booking it again on our Dec trip.

We actually like 1900 Park Fare better than CRT. It's only our personal experience though... to us the only thing CRT has going for it is that it's in the castle- other than that the food is the same or better (in our opinion), and they don't seem as rushed (the characters) as they are at CRT. Ofcourse I can only compare to going to CRT ONCE, while we've gone to 1900 Park Fare several times. LOL

We have gone there for breakfast and dinner both of our last 2 trips.
I have never seen White Rabbit there before though! My daughter was asking the whole trip (everytime we saw Pooh/Tigger/etc. in the parks or at meals) where he was... I had no idea he sometimes showed up there?

Thanks everyone! I more or less booked restaurants for the atmosphere, lol. I really just want my daughter to have a fabulous time. She plans on dressing up for the dinner. We got a early ar...4:30. At least I know the food will be fresh, lol. Again, thanks!
