1900 Park Fair--Should I cancel???

I wouldn't cancel either not this late in the game. I'm sure you'll have lovely meal.

We ate there for breakfast (last January) and I wasn't impressed. However to be fair I'm not a huge buffet fan. I prefer cook to order meals. I didn't even like Boma.

Also, we had a really bad character experience due to a family at another table hogging the characters. I don't think the restaurant handled it very well so, our breakfast took over 2.5 hours to complete. I'm sure our issue was an isolated event/situation. We had the last table where the characters exited out to. And, the family beside us had the first table. However, when the characters were going around the restaurant and coming towards our table the family would run up and steal the character back to their table. It was really weird. They took like hundreds and hundreds of pictures too. It was a really large party of at least 10 to 15 people. So, then, our character would skip us completely and exit to the changing area. If we got that table again I'd request to be moved. I would never sit there again. I'd rather be in the center of the character route.

I want to try dinner next time but only for the characters not really for the food plus, we want to see the Gingerbread House. So, even with our bad experience we'll proably go back.

While we enjoyed the character experience, the food was so-so. I definitely LOVED the strawberry soup and bread pudding. We are planning on going back during our next visit for dinner. I am looking forward to the soup. The girls are looking forward to Prince Charming.

By now, the OP has probably decided one way or another, but I would definitely NOT cancel an ADR here. In fact, I consider this a must-do character dinner now that the step-sisters and step-mother are there in addition to Cinderella and Prince Charming. SOOOO much fun and high-jinks!!! The step-sisters even sing happy birthday (VERY off key, just like in the movie) to anyone who is celebrating a birthday.

The food is very good insofar as that there is something for everyone. I remember having some salads and a pasta dish--maybe a rigatoni primavera? (I'm not really a prime rib person, so I have no opinion on that.) Good desserts, including a make your own sundae bar starting with soft serve vanilla or choc.

One additional thing to remember if you are celebrating a special occasion is that they can do special desserts, including a white chocolate glass slipper filled with chocolate mousse and raspberries. (We got that for DH's 40th b-day.)

It is definitely a family restaurant, not a couples who want to stare longingly into each other's eyes kind of restaurant, but I think that's true for all character meals.

We went both dinner and breakfast in March 2006 when we were staying at the GF, dinner only in October 2007 when we were staying at Beach Club, but you definitely can do both in one trip, as they are completely diff characters.

ENJOY!

Becky
