I agree the buffet was nothing special. It did have carved ham and made-to-order omelettes. The pancakes were nice, but nothing special. There was a decent amount of fruit, but I've seen more at other buffets.
The Mad Hatter is a hoot, though! We had a 10:30 reservation, so the place was almost empty. There were only 3 other tables with people. So, the characters spent a LOT of time with us. Pooh and Tigger hung out for about 15 minutes with us, playing "charades".
The best Disney Magic happened to us that day (it is so CUTE). We went to 1900 Park Faire on the day we were wearing matching shirts (see my avatar) and Pooh acted like he was part of the family because he had a red shirt too! Tigger was disappointed, but we told him we'd adopt him. Pooh said NO. Anyway, we joked for a while about it. Then, while watching the 3 o'clock parade that day, sitting on the curb, Pooh looked at us, pointed 1-2-3-4 at each of us, then pointed to himself and pulled on his shirt! It was the same Pooh and he was letting us know! The breakfast was worth it for that experience, at least!
In my opinion, never go to a character meal for the food! You'll be disappointed. Just go for the characters and enjoy!
