We are looking for a nice, quiet loop and heard that the 1900 loop is pretty remote and peaceful. We'll be getting a golf cart for our 2 week stay in October so distance won't be much of an issue for us. Has anyone stayed in this loop and which sites would you recommend? We have a 32' 5th wheel with two slideouts. If you have any pictures I would appreciate a link. Thanks.

Nice quiet loop except when there is the occasional barking of large dogs. The barks of the smaller dogs don't seem to travel as far. Many times when we have been to FW the 1900 loop also seems to be less crowded with campers.

We went to FtW the first time in May 2003 and were assigned to the 1600 loop. We also rented a golf cart and took an afternoon off to explore the other loops. When we found 1900; specifically 1918 we knew this was home for us during future trips.

1900 seems to be the last loop assigned and so seems emptier than the others. Makes sense since its the last full hookup loop in numerical order. But its more than that. Even when its full, the sites seem more private with more space and trees/vegetation between you and your neighbor. They also seem a bit longer and, depending on how they are situated on curvier parts of the main road are easier to back into.

Don't feel shy about asking for what you want. On each of our subsequent visits we got 1918 twice and the site directly across from it once because we requested it. During that trip 1918 was occupied when we arrived and vacant until nearly the end of our 2 week stay. I could have asked to move, but once I was all backed in and set up I decided not to bother.

RocklandRVers: Is 1918 a wide site? I have a double slide 5th wheel and would like to be sure to be able to fit in. Somewhere I thought I saw a picture of that site and it looked like a fairly narrow site with the picnic table in the back instead of on the camper door side. Is there room toward the back of the site to site around? We have a couple of dogs ourselves and although we won't be bringing them for this trip a little barking won't bother us at all.

I don't like the 1900 loop because the sides drop off of the sites and it is difficult for our dogs to be hooked up. Also if it rains alot then the water collects. In the summer there is more bugs because of the standing water. I have never liked a single site i was assigned in the 1900 loop. I have 2 slides.

If you want a remote pet loop I would request the 1800 loop sites are much wider than 1900 loop. I agree with FWCamper Sites on 1900 loop drop off between sites. I will post photo of site from 1600 loop. Sites are narrow (12' wide) on 1600 loop also but don't drop off between sites. The past 2 years have requested 900 loop and have got put in 1600 loop. The photo with camper is site 1641 in Feb.

I've always found 1900 to be very quiet--often too quiet for my taste. We only stayed in it once and we were the only rv in it for one night. That was a short 3-night trip or we'd have asked to move.

Some of the 1900 sites are very steep on the sides and it does sometimes have standing water between the sites. I think I'll stick with 1700 whenever possible but it is not as quiet a loop. With a golf cart you'll like 1900, I bet!

RocklandRVers--does your GEM have a NY plate on it? If yes, then I think we've seen your rig! A nice B with a GEM or NEV with NY plates in the 1900 loop--is that you?
