We have adrs for Aug. 12th for dinner. We've never eaten there, but my little girl loves 'Rella. I hope its ok. At least if it isn't as good, we have nothing to compare it to from the past.

Gretchen

We just returned and had dinner at Cinderella's Gala Feast and we were not impressed at all. Keep in mind, we are meat and potatoes people, but we thought we would try this meal and meet Cinderella and the gang.

We arrived at the GF 20 minutes before our reservation and had to wait a total of 30 minutes to be seated. Once inside, we were in the right place at the right time. We saw all the characters before our main course arrived. That night the characters included Cinderella, Prince Charming, Fairy Godmother, Perla, and Suzy. They all did a great job.

So now to the food. The rolls were hard and just so so. My husband had the salad and thought that it was okay. My oldest daughter and I had the Strawberry Soup and she really liked it, it thought it would have been better as a dessert. My 9 year old had to order from the children's menu and ordered the Chicken Noodle Soup, I tasted it and it was pretty good.

On to the main course. I had the Pork with red cabbage and something else that I did not like. The pork was okay, but the rest I tried but did not eat. My husband and olderst daughter had the chicken with potatoes and asparagus. They did not like the chicken or the aspargus and they thought the potatoes were okay. My youngest had the beef and macaroni and she enjoyed it.

Desert was family style with a large plate of bread pudding and then another plate with assorted desserts. My husband and I both thought the bread pudding was okay. I tasted all the other deserts, they included chocolate mousse, carrot cake, pastry filled with raspberry creme, and 2 other little pie things. The only one I even liked was the chocolate mousse, it was really good.

The service inside the restaurant was really good.

All in all, if you really want to see Cinderella and the gang then I say go. The food was not our cup of tea and I honestly would not recommend this restaurant.

If anyone has any questions, I will be more than happy to try to answer them.

Thanks for the review. We have adrs here in about 2 weeks. My DD really wants to see Cinderella, so we'll keep it, but I'm nervous that the meal won't appeal to us much either. So, there is no way kids can get the strawberry soup? My oldest DS (8) was really looking forward to it-I wonder if they would sub and give him strawberry soup instead of the chicken noodle?

What was the pork like? Tenderloin? Chop? Butterfly?

The gnocchi and red cabbage make it sound like something we ate in Germany. Did the pork have a sauce?

Any details would be appreciated.

Thanks!

WDW Chaser --

Did you remember what the other entrees were? Neither one of those entrees w/ work for my husband. He is a beef man. I can usually manage but he doesn't really eat pork and he's allergic to poultry. I may have to cancel our ADR.

Thanks,
Gretchen

Is 1900 Park Fare no longer a buffet? I have ADR's there for Deccember and may have to switch if it changed? THANKS!

1900 Park fare is closed for a rehab and Disney has re-relocated its Character meals to the Grand Floridian Cafe, where the meals will be a pre-plated.

You could order it and then trade or share....

Gretchen, somebody posted a menu for the meal on here a few weeks ago. The person who posted it is a server there, so I'm sure it was very accurate. I don't have time to search for it right now, but if I remember right it was a pretty long thread. Anyway, it had about eight different entrees to pick from, and one of them was prime rib.

Princessbaby-
If you are on the dining plan, children had to order from the children's appetizers. My dd(9) and I shared my strawberry soup. They do not care who eats it after you order it, but children cannot order from the adult choices.

EMom-
It was Tenderloin and it had some type of brown sauce that seemed to be a little salty for my tastes. The gnocchi was just too doughy tasting and I did not like the texture of it at all. The red cabbage smelled really bad.

gwcollins71-
There was Prime Rib on the menu and I do believe that was the only beef option. My husband had tried the prime rib the night before at Crystal Palace and did not like the taste or smell at all so he did not chance getting it at the Gala Feast. The thread on here that lists the entire menu posted by a CM at 1900 Park Fare is correct.

I knew the choices going in and I thought this would be a new experience for my family to experience different foods than I fix at home. My dd(16) made a statement at the end of the meal that she actually missed my home cooking!!

Hope this helps!!

Yeah, my DS and I will definitely have to share;) because out of everything they have at 1900 PF, the strawberry soup is his favorite and he doesn't want anything else!

not sounding so good. i upgraded my gd to adult my other is 13 , can they still order from the childrens menu? it would be my loss as i already paid the xtra .. not sure if they will like this menu? thanks:confused3
