1900 Fair Park Vs Akershus

We will be at the happiest place on earth for Thanksgiving week. We will have our 11 yr old Granddaughter with us. I currently have reservations for both of the above. Which one would you recommend. None of us are into food that is different so that's my concern with Akershus. Also, will my princess be able to eat off the children's menu. She probably wont eat anything off the adult menu and she really doesn't eat a lot. I understand I will have to pay adult price for her. Also, which one do you think is a better dollar value for the food? This will be for dinner reservations.

The experience abd food is better at 1900. But it's only Cinderella. If u r trying to see a lot of princesses, then akershus is the way to go.

It really depends on what you're looking for. Dinner at Akershus is Norwegian, but I'm picky and found food I enjoyed. You meet Belle, Cinderella, Aurora, Snow White, and Jasmine. It's not a buffet. They do a princess parade through the restaurant.

1900 Park Fare is a buffet. The characters are Cinderella, Prince Charming, and the step sisters. Sometimes the step mother or fairy godmother make an appearance. The character interaction is excellent.

I would check out the menu online for Akershus, and give consideration to which type of character experience your group would enjoy more.

Thanks for the responses, she told us she really doesn't care which characters, she just wants a character meal. So its more about the experience and the types of food. We are doing princess type dinner before her older brothers arrive. Pretty sure they really wouldn't be interested in meeting the princesses. We can do other type of character meals once they get there.

1900 Park Fare is worth it, for Dinner. The Tremaines make everything awesome and fun. Akershus can't be beat for Breakfast! Haven't done Breakfasts at 1900, or Dinners at Akershus.

I agree with the above poster- I think I like Akershus better for breakfast. We had a fantastic time at 1900. Anastasia told my daughter, who was dressed as Cinderella, "you look wayyyy better in that dress than my sister." It was hilarious. Surprisingly my daughter really liked Drizella- once Drizella realized she had a little fan, she spent a ton of time at our table. We took selfies- really fun.

Akershus other than the princesses was very Blagh IMHO...Not a huge selection, & everything was cold stuff. Not a lot to offer.... 1900 PF for dinner was just ok..The interaction was great though, especially with the stepsisters & Step MOM.

For breakfast 1900 PF Is our favorite Buffet and/or character meal... The selection is extensive, and plentiful,fresh, & Delish... Also the interaction from every character was plenty ( not rushed ). Alice, Tigger, pooh, Mad Hatter, Mary Poppins. All were excellent. Akershus we never tried.

The sisters made it great because my son, was doing everything to not be noticed by any character, and they end up fighting over him..The sisters that is..LoL It got him into the swing of things and both wanted to marry him...Real funny stuff.

The meal itself was just ok....Breakfast was great though.

They are so amazing! Drizella found a Page in one of the Autograph Books that Chip signed, but Dale didn't sign on the same Page. She had a little fun with that. She wrote "'N Dip!" underneath, showed it to Lady Tremaine, and they had quite the giggle. Lady Tremaine also saw that our Son had gone to BBB and had gotten the Knight Package. I had his Sword & Shield in the Bag next to me. She asked him ever so seriously why he didn't have his Sword & Shield because he had to protect her and his Sister (Dressed as Merida). Within seconds, he had the Sword & Shield up! Haha

Agree- we also had a great breakfast at 1900 $ ITA with what you said about the characters. They spent a ton of time with us and Mary poppins and my 3.5 year old daughter hit it off. I swear my daughter sat up straighter when she was around. It was the first repeat meal I booked for our October trip.

OP: the buffet for dinner is not gourmet, but there is a huge selection.

I'm so jealous lady tremaine was there! My daughter kept asking where she was- Drizella told her she had to stay home with Lucifer.

She is so perfect! Anastasia loved our Daughter's Hair, and she had gotten Streak Extensions from BBB, so Anastasia spent time playing with them and asked if she should get some too. It was so priceless. I can't wait to do it again in September!
