I am trying to finallize my plans for our trip and have a 8.0c am bfast at 1900.

My question is can I get shuttle from POFQ direct to Floridian then take boat over to MK after bfast?

Should we drive over to ADR then leave car at Floridian to spend day at MK (I recall seeing something about this being frowned upon on an earlier post, I think)

I really do not care how to get to Floridian but kids requested to do boat over to MK (is that possible)

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Regards

You can't take a bus from POFQ to the Grand Floridian - you will have to take a bus to Magic Kingdom & then take the monorail to Grand Floridian. You could drive to GF, but I'm pretty sure you can only leave your car there for 3 hours, so that wouldn't really work with your plans for that day. And yes, you can take a boat from GF to Magic Kingdom.

About 5-7 years ago, we were staying at a Disney property hotel (there has been soooo many over the years I can't remember which one!) and we had as early resev. for 1900 PF. We waited for the MK bus and we were the only ones. When we got on the bus we asked the bus driver if the monorail system was open to get us to GF. He said don't worry I'll drive you directly to the hotel! What a great guy! It saved us a ton of time and alot of hassle> Maybe, just maybe you will get lucky!

You can drive to the GF and pay to valet park..then you can eat and then head to MK for the rest of the day with no worries.
Or, you can take the bus from your resort to MK, then either the monorail or boat to GF. The monorail will take about 20 mins or so, plan accordingly.
Or you can park at the TTC (no charge if you are a resort guest) and then take the monorail to the GF and then the boat to MK after breakfast.

Good point, Jerseygirl63 - we've had some similar luck in the past where a bus took us directly from our resort to the Contemporary for a Chef Mickey's brkfst adr - but unfortunately you can't count on something like that happening.

I think driving and parking at the TTC and then monorailing over to GF is a good idea. After eating you can definitely take the launch to MK. Then when you're ready to leave take the monorail back to TTC or take the big boat. That's what I would do, and we always have a rental car, never use the busses.

Why not just take a cab? It seems like a lot of hassle (unless you got one of the awesome bus drivers mentioned above!). Just get a cab over to GF and then leave GF and go where you want without worrying about where your car is parked. Then you can just leave from whatever park you are at when you're ready to go back to the hotel.

We have an 8:15am breakfast at 1900 PF and that's what we're doing! No way I'm going to save $15 by parking over at TTC and then waiting for a monorail and what-not. I'd stress way too much about it.

I would take a cab or drive to GF and leave the car at the hotel. I was told by a CM that you could leave the car at the hotel as long as you have a parking pass but you can verify that at check in.

Here's another idea, but would mean that you would be separated for a little while after breakfast. You could drive to your ADR at the GF, then after breakfast, you and kids could take the boat while the other person moves the car to the MK parking lot at the TTC. You could just plan on meeting somewhere. I think that would be a little nutty though too. I might just take a cab as well if I were you. :goodvibes

Thanks all I think the taxi is going to be the way to go does anyone know typically the average rate around Disney in a taxi?

You won't need to drive or take a cab. Magic Kingdom buses start running at 6:30 am. If you can't get the bus driver to leave you at the GF directly, you can always take the boat launch or resort monorail from the MK.

I called today and got an early breakfast at O Hana during a stay . I asked the CM if they are still running a special bus for people with early breafast ADR and he said yes . That is the easiest and most direct (free) transportation. I will call the front desk the night before or that morning to make sure it stops at our stop

Great that sounds like an even better option
