I am positive that it will be crowded. Probably even more crowded then when we went on the 4th 2 years ago (because of the 50th celebration). However, we are not going to let the crowds and heat stop us. We don't get to go very often, so we will have a blast whatever the crowds or the weather.
We told them that we are going to Cincinnati to stay with my parents for a week. Not unusual. We spend lots of Julys there. We said that we are going to kick off our vacation with a stay at a hotel, something they rarely get to do.
We will be telling our kids that the hotel we are staying at (on the airport) gave us free ticket to "watch the planes take off". They have only been to an airport 1 time 2 year ago, so they won't question the security thing - I hope. We will tell them that we need to take our luggage with us because the hotel needs to get the room ready for the next guests. We will check our luggage - which we will tell them is something every body has to do. Even those who have tickets just to watch the planes.
They will probably start thinking something is up when we tell them that we can take a tour of the plane. Somewhere between then and sitting down, we will let them know about this wonderful surprise!!!
We have held it in since january.....I am ready to explode!!!!
