.

I suggest you ask Randy how much time he needs for the type of pictures you want. He has a good idea on how long certain pics take and will probably be able to advise you. Good Luck!

I'm also doing 1900 park fare after my wedding. When i asked the 'board' before about it, i had nothing but good reviews so i went ahead and booked it. This is the first time got my mil and fil to be at Disney and i think the whole 'park fare' experience is very Disney so it will be good, plus the buffet looks amazing. :thumbsup2

I need some opinions on whether this time-line sounds right.... and whenever I ask DF all I get is "Oh, I'm sure everything will be fine"

Edit: Indy gave me some great advice, so here are the last few questions that remain:

  • Is 11a-1:30p enough time for 2 hair and make-up, because Ana wanted to come at 10:30a but I didn't want to be ready too early. In your experiences does that process run late?
  • If I want to take the beach pictures but not any inside of the GF, do I need to ask my planner for permission still?
  • Where is that awesome beach anyway??
  • Anyone have any complaints about a dinner at 1900 park fare after the wedding?

TIA! - I feel like I am going

When you enter the GF lobby, if you exit the doors on the right under the large staircase, the beach will be almost in front of you. =)

As for 1900 Park Fare, personally, I don't think it's the best wedding reception venue since it's a charatcer dining location. It is very loud and there will be a lot of families/kids running around.

I can't answer the other two questions - but these boards are great! :goodvibes

Oh that is exactly my fear! :worried:

They mentioned that if we had 19 guests they could give us a private room.... Has anyone heard of a private room at park fare before?

We are at 18 guests and trying to keep it under $1k. Would you suggest anywhere else?

With 19 guests and $1k you are looking at about $55pp including tax and tip...I think you could easily do that at Citricos if you skipped out on appetizers. Though not as elegant as Citricos, the Grand Floridian Cafe would be much quieter compared to 1900 Park Fare. Are you looking to eat at the GF for sure...or are you open to other options? (I worked at the GF concierge desk 6 years ago, so I think I still know a little bit about what's around, lol.)

Oh, and I have not heard of the private room at Park Fare...but it may be newer...

There is going to be 9 of us dining at Park Fare. The food seemed quite alot cheaper than the other restaurants and it included non-alcoholic beverages :thumbsup2 so means you wouldn't have to fork out for drinks.

I haven't heard of a private room in the Park Fare. There is one at the other restaurants in Grand Floridian. I have heard that it can be a bit noisey, but my cermony is at 2.30 and were eating at 4.30. So as were first in i'm hoping it will be fairly quiet.

We are not stuck on GF at all! I actually just booked it on an impulse from reading the boards. I was thinking park fare or chef mickeys was all I could afford. I like it being a set price with lots of food options.

Any help would be great! Is a private room at park fare nice?

As I was saying...and now confirmed - Park Fare doesn't have a private room.
For a set price menu (outside of the parks) my favorite is Boma. It is sooooo good (but AKL is a bit away from GF). There is also the new place at the Contemporary that replaced their steakhouse - I haven't heard much about it, but that might be something interesting to look in to. Good luck :goodvibes
