I woke up at 4:50 am (5:50 EST) to make ADR's for our upcoming trip. I have been reading the DISboards for weeks and was worried that I would not be able to get what I wanted on the days I wanted them, even on my 180th day! I was not trying for any PPO and my only really hard to get was BOG for lunch, which I tried for first and got the time I wanted!
We will be traveling December 3-10 and staying at POR. It is just DH and myself until the 5th and then my parents will join us on the 5th. We will be on the DDP.
These are our plans/ADR's for the week (as of today):
Saturday - Arrival day (flight gets in around 9:30 am) - Take Magical Express to POR, online check in, get refillable mug, either eat QS at resort or go to AK. Dinner at Rainforest Cafe at Disney Springs. We are Landry's Select Members and will be using gift cards. This is not set in stone, but the menus at the newer restaurants really do not appeal to us. We are going to Raglan Road at the end of our trip. We would change RC for either Flying Fish or Fulton's Crab House (Paddlefish) depending on when either open and the menus.
Sunday - EPCOT - Le Cellier at 1:15 - This is DH favorite and the only restaurant he requested. After lunch, take Monorail to MK for MVMCP
Monday - Would like to take the morning off and sleep
, maybe go miniature golfing. My parents are arriving that afternoon. Via Napoli at 7:05. This is the first time we are eating here (and have been to Disney/EPCOT many times). I am looking forward to trying the pizza. Any recommendations are welcome!
Tuesday - DH and I are going to HS and parents are going back to EPCOT. We are planning to take the boat to EPCOT to join them for lunch, now that our favorite QS at HS is no more (Studio Catering Company). Dinner at Sanaa at 5:00. This was a favorite of my parents when we went in 2014 and hopefully we will get there early enough to request a table by the window. I know it will be getting dark early that time of year, but we may see the animals for at least 1/2 hour.
Wednesday - MK - QS for lunch and Liberty Tree for Dinner. I know a lot of people don't like the Family Style dinner, but my family enjoys it and this is my favorite restaurant.
Thursday - AK - Tusker House at 10:50. We have been here for breakfast the last several times and always enjoy it. However, I am not a big breakfast eater, so we are compromising this year with a Brunch time. Hoping to get some breakfast items and also lunch. Any comments on the lunch menu are welcome and appreciated! Dinner will be QS at Flame Tree. We would like to experience the night time safari and the ROL if it is operating. Really don't have any desire to see the Jungle Book show.
Friday - MK - BOG lunch. This was a must do for everyone, as we have eaten lunch there the last 2 times we have been. The dinner menu does not appeal to us at all. Dinner at Raglan Road. DH and I were there several years ago, but this is a first for my parents and I think they will enjoy it. This will be our last night at Disney and seems like a great way to wrap up the trip!
Saturday - Departure - flight at 2:30 - breakfast at resort before boarding Magical Express to airport
On the way to the airport, we will be planning the next trip in 2018
Thank you for letting me share.
Good luck to all making your upcoming reservations!
