I actually liked the 90 day mark.
The only problem I see with 180 is the park hours. As it stands, Disney is having problems releasing park hours at 90 days. They really need to make sure the hours are out at least 180 days in advance for this to work.
Park hours are not really a factor for us when making reservations. We eat where we want and park hop if needed. Nothing to stress out about. You can always make your ADR's tothe best of your ability and change them if needed.
Personally I like 180 day a ton better. When you are trying to get those hard ADR's (CRT, BBB, Pirate Cruise) it is nice to be at 180 days. So many people have not even booked yet so you are competing with less people - great for us over planners. I plan a vacation date - 1-2 years out. With the kids school schedule and my teaching schedule it is easy to plan ahead.

Our next WDW trip will be in 423 days!

) ~ if we book the ADRs at 180 days using our reservation number but then switch our reservation at some point, do all of our ADRs get cancelled out?
). So even if they did start canceling ADRs if they're linked to an invalid reservation number, you still wouldn't have anything to worry about.
