180 day mark and trouble making ADRs

I've traveled to to WDW over 40 times and since they created the ability to make ADRs at the 180 day mark, I've never had trouble with my choices, with the exception of the popular choices like BOG, CRT, etc. Monday I tried to make my picks for our early December trip. Since we didn't renew our TIW, I was focusing on restaurants that give DVC or AP discounts. I had a lot of trouble finding what I wanted. I mean places like Coral Reef, Rose & Crown, etc. What the heck is going on

ADRs for those 2 restaurants are likely being held back for CP Packages.

I was expecting the same thing this morning. Ended up with an ADR for Chefs instead of Rose and Crown or Via Napoli. I'm hoping something will open up soon.

Thanks for those links. And the point about CP packages makes lots of sense.

I was on my computer 6am 180 days prior and Crystal Palace was my first choice hoping for 8am. Would you believe I got 835 lots of Disney planners. Touring Plans has a great reservation finder. I requested 8am at Crystal Palace and an early morning Bon Voyage breakfast and was able to reserve both for September. Luckily I recieved all my other choices. Im guessing a I got pixie dusted. Dont give up! All your Disney wishes will come true....

Got on to book ours this morning and nothing I wanted is available. No Ohana, chef Mickey, rose and crown. I wanted crystal palace breakfast and only one time at 10:20am was available. So much for breakfast. Even Kona cafe was almost booked with only a 7pm dinner available which I'm not looking forward to with a toddler. Plus I had to do it all on my app because the system online would only let me reserve for my arrival day on the computer. To say I'm upset is an understatement. I've never had this kind of trouble.

Very frustrating. Two thoughts. When are you going? You can pull the "I would like to speak with a manager" and meanwhile you can make 2 ADR requests with Touring Plans. You will get your wishes but sadly not without aggravation. I like to plan our Disney vacations but when we get our bounce back in Sept im calling Dreams Unlimited!

For me, it's not worth it. I go often enough, so if I don't get what I want now, I'll get it next time. I know others aren't as fortunate.
