$180 car rental. . . is this good?

I rented a car for eight days at the end of June. I used a code from Mousesavers and rented an economy car from Budget. Is $180 a good deal or should I keep looking?

My opinion is that you should book it...and keep looking.

You can always cancel a car rental for no fee (they don't take a credit card when you book it). So booking it now locks in your rate in case the rate goes up...and if it goes down, you just cancel and rebook!

That was the same code I used I wonder why my quote was $40 higher. What time of year are you going?

I just made a reservation from Thrifty. I used corp code 004m001010 from the mousesavers website. My new total is $159.30! Yeah Yeah!

Those are all great rates. I am finding 200 for 4 days. I am signed up with mousesavers. Do you go to there site for a link or how do you do it?

go to the site and look to the left hand side. Pick the car rental info. You can then select your car rental company. Poke around and you will find it.

Did you do this with Budget or Dollar?
I am trying out how to add the code with Dollar and so far i am stumped.

OK, another question..I reserved a car through Dollar. They had a better code than what was on Mousesavers, 918, now I've never done this before. So do we pay at the counter then? And od they add on any other charges or is the rate pretty true to what they quote?

I think you can do better. try alamo..florida has the cheapest car rental fees
i rented a SUV last year for $20 a day & it was brand new. keep looking!
