180 ADR--what date do I use to start counting?

Last edited:
I tried both calculators and came up with the same 180 date of 5/31. I am not sure why you keep saying the wdwinfo pscalc is wrong, but it has been correct for me.

Here's a third one that I have not used, but it too says 180 days before 11/27 is 5/31. :confused3

Very interesting indeed, I get 5/30 when I try it on my computers (refer to my screenshot)

Not sure if it's because of timezone differences, as I'm in Australia, but it really shouldn't matter... No idea.

Well, as long as it works for everyone else, then it's fine, I guess

Ok, no one will care, but I've worked out what the problem was.

I'm a website developer and had a look at the website's source code, there's a bug in the code.

What happens is that when it retrieves the date to do the calculation, it retrieves it as the local time of the machine (which in my case is 11/27 in Australia time), but the calculation is done in UTC time (different timezone). 11/27 midnight in Australian time is actually 11/26 1pm in UTC time, and 11/26 minus 180 days gives 5/30

So essentially this calculator will not calculate correctly for anyone not in a US timezone.

Sorry for the technical and off topic posts, but as a guy who sees a problem, I have to solve it before I can move on haha

Simple way to do it in your head - first, you need to know that in terms of days of the week, your reservation day will be two days later than your check-in day. If you check in on a Saturday, your reservation day will be a Monday. Check in on Wednesday, reserve on Friday. And so on.

Now take your check-in date. 11/27, in your case. A Sunday. That means your reservation date will be a Tuesday. (Two days after Sunday.)

Now go back six months from your check-in date. This puts us at 5/27. Go forward two days. You're now at 5/29. Find the nearest Tuesday. That's 5/31. Which agrees with our earlier postings.

Seems like your code bug will impact anyone in a time zone east of the US eastern time zone, but west of the international dateline. So much of South America would be affected, with all of Europe, Asia, and Africa. (Does Antarctica have time zones? All those research scientists have to be able to know what time it is.)

On the Disney site -login and go to your My Disney Experience and click on your name at the top of the list. It will give you your trip count down. You can figure it out from there.
