hi folks,

Has anyone encountered this problem? We are at our 180 date and we've used MDE to book our first meal. Worked brilliantly - quite impressed actually. We should be able to book 10 days ahead. It will let us select dates ahead, even provide a time but then will not proceed any further. What am I doing wrong? Thanks for any help.

Your doing nothing wrong it's just not working - you will need to call.

I have just called and booked our plus 10. It was actually very easy on the phone probably easier than battling with the website

Have had the same problem.
I've sent Disney a nice email reminding them that yet again....the system is not working

My 180 day Mark was yesterday and I had exactly the same issue. Got day one done in seconds then exactly as described above. I had to wait 30 minutes for my call to be answered but when it eventually was I had a lovely efficient cast member. Spent about 15 minutes booking 10 days of ADRs. Got everything I wanted within 15 minutes of when I wanted it, including Be Our Guest and California Grill. Very happy. I can't book day 11 onine today as I should be able to so will call again when I can book the last four days. All my reservations are now showing on MDE.

I emailed them too and got this most unhelpful reply:

Thank you for contacting the Walt Disney World® Resort.

While we sincerely appreciate your interest and apologize for any frustration this has caused, this electronic mail department does not have access to the Dining System in order to check availability, book reservations or check for errors. For all questions regarding dining reservations, it will be necessary to contact the Walt Disney World Dining Department directly at 0800 16 90 748. They will be happy to assist you.

If you have questions or need further assistance, feel free to contact us.

Have a magical day!

i had a phone call from them but didn't answer it as I didn't recognise the number.
listening to the answer message I have been given a direct number to call them back. I will call on Monday and report back.
Just checked again.......it seems that it is the +10days booking that I get problems with for on-line ADR's
It will work if i want to book within the 180 window.

So, is it not working for individual days after the 180+10 either? I had pinned my hopes on doing our remaining 8 days one at a time online. I don't fancy ringing again and trying to book in a block.

No it's only working at 180 days exactly. I did my last three days today having waited for the last day to be ready to book. On hold for half an hour. Again. It's a pain.

Oh no - I want to book BOG as one of my remaining 8 nights! I really don't think I can wait to book that one in a block! Ugh anyone would think they don't want to repair the system - I have been reading for ages that the 180+10 wasn't working but I hadn't heard there were problems with subsequent, individual days!

I think it is only broken for UK reservations as I haven't seen any moans from the US boards only UK boards. I didn't have any issue with my last DVC booking. If I had enough points I would book a DVC booking and test it!

I guess I'll find out on Wednesday when I go to book a single ADR!

Just to update - as others have said and I feared, you have to ring up to book ADRs for single days after your 180+10. I did try online and it just said I had to call! As others have said, you can chance it and ring up to do a few days at a time. I have 8 days worth to ring up for. I rang today and it is such a faff as you have to go through all the questions again - name, booking ref, phone no, email address and I even had to give over the CC number again! I only gave all the info yesterday. Talk about rework - not impressed!

I can't face ringing tomorrow but will have to as by booking opens for the day I'd like to book the Wishes Cruise! Then again, on Saturday as my booking opens for BOG! :rolleyes1 I am fortunate that I work from home so can call anytime but I feel for people who can't just pick up the phone at a certain time!

Call operators can't retain your CC info or access it off the system so you have to give it every time. If you think about why, you actually wouldn't want it any other way........

I've decided to book each day using DME. So far, I've got everything we wanted at exact times including CP for 8:05am and CG for 9pm.... so far so good and actually it has added some Disney excitement to each day!!!

I understand what you are saying but somewhere someone at WDTC has a log of my CC details. They are given (and held on MDE) so that we can be charged for a no-show - I just checked them yesterday. I just presumed they could access that information given they can access all the other information. But yes, thinking about it, I can see why they don't. It doesn't make it any easier to ring and have to repeat it all though.

I am not sure how you've managed this. I can see times but as soon as I click on a time to book, the system just throws a wobbler, takes me back to my first day date on the calendar and says 'please call'. I wasn't even able to change a time when I saw a better one that has popped up. I am using the MDE on my laptop too, not the app. :scared:

The Wishes cruises don't book up that quickly unless you want the Grand 1 - you will be ok to wait until Saturday for that.

I card details are encrypted into the system against your reservation so they card charge you if you are a no show. The card details are stored on your MDE account too but when booking over the phone they don't go via your MDE they just use the reservation number to unlock the +10.

I think the OP is booking a day at a time at 180 days rather than accessing the +10 which is what I will do for my remaining days as I can't be bothered to sit on hold for 2 more reservations :rolleyes1

I called them back, and the assistant was very apologetic but fully aware of the problems!!!
They said that a note would be put on the website, to advise of the issue

Got the distinct impression they weren't bothered on the ADR line, but then I guess them getting a phone call keeps them in a job / gives them something to do!

Rang today again and waited almost 20 mins on hold - last twice I've rang I've got straight through.

Elise - I booked the cruise - just glad it's sorted now as, as you know, I wasn't sure which one to go for - if any. Just pleased it's done! Hopefully it will be a nice surprise for my parents
